Not surprised at all.
The farce that is the NSW Government will do all in its power to do one of two things;

1. Increase every tax, fee and levy at their disposal
2. Cut every service possible

What’s wrong with that? Why should the public pay for someone’s cosmetic procedures? If you want liposuction or penis enlargement surgery go for it. But don’t ask me to pay for it. There are far more importance things for the government to be spending it’s limited resources on.

You guys obviously missed the jist of my post.
I am not against the policy perse. I paid for my wife to enter a private facility to get her boobs done.
My point was the Iemma Governmenr is, and will continue to, cut every service they can to save money, all the while raising revenue to line their pockets with.
Take a look at the Sydney train time table for instance.
They cut hundreds of services every day so they could achieve “benchmark” on time running. What happened?
The trains are still as late as they ever were. There’s just less of them.

Now theres talk on increasing fares.

I’ve never seen a government which can impose limits on itself, or stick to ones they do impose.
