No sure exactly what your asking, but I guess the top of your pubic bone sticks out 1/2” more than the side?

My penis has a slight curve to the left. When I measure straigh out, I get about .5 inch shorter measurement than if I pull it slightly to the left and let it “straighten out”

It is entirely legit to straighten out a curve for your measurements, just be consistent.
