Outgrowing Magnum XL

Not that I have, but I’d like to know at what girth size does one outgrow an XL condom.

The reason I ask is that I have trouble with getting an accurate measure of my EG. When I measure it’s barely past 5 inches (maybe 5.25), but Magnum XLs are the only condoms that fit. Regular condoms I can’t get over my penis head and regular Magnums are just snug enough that after awhile I lose my erection after starting sex, and if I manage to keep it on, I kill my dick because my cock swells (in length and girth) right before I orgasm (I don’t know if this is a common male thing or it’s just me).

Either way, I have read in an old post that Magnum XLs compensate for girth’s 5.75 and higher (which is why I post my EG as 5.75). And because I want my EG to be at least 6.5 I am doing mostly girth exercises. I plan to stop when Magnum XLs start to feel like regular Magnum to me.

So, has anyone here “outgrown” a Magnum XL or what is the girth for those who are too big for Magnum XLs. Thanks

Are you sure your 5.25?

You’ll outgrow from Magnum XL somewhere between 6.5 and 7.0 inches of EG. Avocet8 can give us some first hand knowledge. You out there, big guy?

I normally have 5.5” girth and I can put a regular condom on. It’s tight and I have a difficulty to orgasm wearing it. I have never tried using anything bigger during sex. Maybe if I use a bigger condom, it would help.

I bet it would. You should definitely try. I was trapped with too small condoms for a long time before a friend of mine sent me some Magnum XLs to Finland. They don’t sell them here at all.

My symptoms included having hard time staying fully erect, softer glans, as they didn’t have enough space to get completely filled, etc.

There are lots of variables: head size, how your girth is distributed through the shaft, base girth. If you are very wide at the base, the condom rolls back “uphill” and you get less coverage.

Ideally, there should be just a slight amount of extra space within the condom so that your cock can slide in it as you stroke during sex but a very firm base ring grip so that the condom will not slip off and semen cannot leak out.

XLs were about perfect for awhile when I was 5.75 - 6.00 G. But PE also caused my head to widen and XLs got more difficult to put on, then became too tight on the shaft as well.

Their D21 is wider than an XL and good for length, but snug. The U22 is good for girth, I can slide some within it, but too long for me - they’re about 10 inches. Because my base is a little wider, those rolled inches of unused rubber make for a tight constriction ring at the bottom and this sometimes interferes with ejaculating. But I’m OK alternating between the two sizes and buy both. (They are not cheap.) I use the 22s when I have taken Viagra and the 21s when I have not.

So far as I know, the “22” size is the widest condom made anywhere. Outgrow that, girthwise, and you are going to be in a “pinch.” If anybody knows of something wider, tell me.

I use the magnum xl I’m @ 6.25 mid girth and they are fine, certainly not too tight at all

(They must be made for elephant dicks or something.)

You guys are killing me with your worries about not fitting into Magnum XL’s. I’d be so grateful just to be able to fit into a Magnum. I’m 5” EG and I’m happy a regular one doesn’t slip off.

I have 6” midshaft (6.5 base) and can fit into regular condoms fine, although they certainly shrink my dick to a degree and aren’t very comfortable.

Magnum XLs fit a lot better, but even they reduce the quality of my erections somewhat. That’s just part of wearing a condom, I think, for everyone.

Can you explain this statement a little more? You say something good and bad about each condom…which one do you prefer?

This is relevant to me because I have the same midshaft girth as you…

Read “shrink my dick” and “reduce the quality of my erections” as equivalent.

In other words, regular-sized condoms shrink my dick (i.e., hurt my erections) to a moderate degree, and they are also uncomfortable, whereas the XLs shrink my dick only minimally (as I think condoms do for everyone) and are comfortable. The XLs are unequivocally better, but before discovering them I used regular-sized condoms for years and they were never a huge problem.

I have to agree with Avocet8 about the MagnumXL “rolling uphill”. I have to unroll it all the way down to my nuts and pull the condom away from the skin to wipe the lube out from between the shaft and condom at the base. This seems to cut back on the tendency to re-roll the condom up the shaft.

Wow. I had no idea that I could actually use an XL. I saw an XL one time and opened it and it was HUGE…I still dont believe I could wear one…I guess I’ll have to buy one sometime and see for myself. Thanks for your comments btw!
