PE Goods in the UK

There are no more auctions for industrial strength velcro on ebay, is this "Heavy Duty Stick On Tape" found at http://www.mr-o … elcro.asp#69550 the same thing?

Any UK PEers got any idea if you can purchase actual ready made hanging devices in England. I live in London and I imagine that there must be some sex shop in soho that would sell hanging devices.

You would think it would be something the S&M crowd might be into just for kicks!!

If not there is surely a big gap in the market for someone to make a lot of cash?!

I got my bib in england just the postage is a bit more. Bib accepts paypal which is very easy to set up.

Just thought I’d reopen this thread and add an IR lamp that I’ve seen available in Boots. I think I’ll buy it so I don’t have to do my routine in the shower anymore!

Those might sound right unpatriotic of me to say, but maybe the reason why you Brits have got so many problems finding PE supplies is that you have bigger dicks than we Americans, so of all the Walmarts in Berks and Lancs, none of them saw fit to carry the requisite theraband and velcro. Damn those evil Walmart bastards!

On the other hand, I have sometimes wondered why the UK seems to be a bit overrepresented on this board. Assuming the combined pop. of Eng, Sc, Wales, and NI is around 50m, we outnumber you 6:1, but the ratio is definitely lower on this board…

I only wish we did, so we’d have less of the world’s population to compete with! ;)

Actually, 58m in 1995, so I wouldn’t be surprised if we’ve topped 60m by now, but as for your concern that we might be less endowed in general in the UK, I’m sure that’s not the case. Perhaps brits are just more likely to come here than a lot of people in the US. I guess there is a greater percentage of more deeply religious people in the US than in the UK and as such PE could be more taboo. On that note, there are in fact a great many more different “groups” (for want of a better word) of people, be they religions, cultures etc, in the US in which its possible that anything to do with sex and the penis is seen as extremely taboo. I mean, we can already discount the whole of Utah! Hehe, just kidding you guys! But I’d guess that was the reason. And this is only a guess, but I’d say that the US seems, IMO, to hold more strength in taboos than the UK. Obviously not everyone, but a large amount of the population might, whereas here, because the whole country is so “packed in close together” we all tend to end up pretty much the same, and it ends up that there aren’t that many who would say that PE was a huge “no no!”. Just my ideas on it though. Probably other large factors to take into account to, but I don’t know what they are.

All joshing aside, I’d have to agree with your explanation. I live in one of the most liberal parts of the country (N. California), and even the people here are very uptight relative to what I’ve experienced in other countries. Sexual innuendo, penis-size jokes and things of that nature come up very seldomly, except perhaps between me and my VERY closest friends. You’d be surprised (or not), but I reckon a good majority of the country would consider PE to be not only strange, but immoral. The irony of the situation (and this is almost a cliche to say so) is the amount of trashy sexuality that circulates in our movies and on broadcast.

I can vouch for the quality of Philips lamps. I have one that has been going for some 15 years. Mind you, the lamp is a bit loose in the socket, but that’s because it has been dropped several times.

Do you use it in PE at all, petitfaun? And if so, does it give a good warmup throughout your penis?

Swinteck, that is ironic about the movies. I’m only slightly surprised by the uptightness, but I say that because you’re in California, which I thought, and as you confirmed, is a more liberal part. I find it a shame that anyone anywhere thinks that anything to dowith sex is taboo, or even immoral. I do run into some people like that in the UK too, though, and it kind of saddens me because those people never seem happy from what I see of them. Although thatis just the outside, so perhaps they like to appear miserable externally, but are in fact really very jolly on the inside. Who knows how other people work?! :confused:

Hey there! Yes I use it quite a bit (quite a bit because I also use a converted infra-red room heater set up on a stand which I made adjustable) and I use that also

The infra red heater has the advantage that it warms below the skin and into the tissue so it gets deeper into the body.

The one thing to look out for is that because the penis is having a large blood flow through it, it conducts the heat away from the surface rapidly, but lower inside the penis it will heat the tissue and you won’t realize that it may be overheating.

Not all bad though becuase you can measure the heat on the skin on your legs and abdomen, and providing that is reasonably pleasant then there is no damage being done inside you.

I fixed up the room heater because I can use it above me whilst I am lying down and doing my thing. Also I have knee trouble and it’s useful for that.

So While it is warming the area round your penis it also warms the hidden ligs as well.

Just a warning to all of you from the uk. I recently bought a pump and had it shipped in from the states. I saved £60 doing so. However, when it got here I found that I had a customs bill for £35. So although it saved me money in the long run, it’s something you’ll need to be aware of. It might even end up costing more. One thing that really pissed me off is that they charge VAT and duty on its value + shipping, so because I paid extra for fast shipping I got screwed by the tax on it.

As a matter of interst. How much were you charged on VAT. I mention this becuase I have experienced and heard of several cases where the shipper when charging the VAT can charge as much as 35%.

Might be worth checking If they have take it up with them and if they don’t refund it ask Customs and excise to have a word with them.

If it came Parcel Force you’re probably OK USP and DHL are the ones I know about.

Yeah Parcelforce usually collect from USPS or any other country’s ‘national’ postal service. If it ships by a Courier then every single item is declared. I’ve brought in hundreds of packages from the States and other parts of the world and never found an exception to this rule yet (yet…duh!).

I got some of this free at a body building show in Nottingham a few years ago. Didn’t do anything for me at all. It must be psychological if it does work for people.
