Penile MASS (or Vol) Method

Penile MASS (or Vol) Method

So I’ve heard many people talking about calculating their penile mass or volume by multiplying the length times the area of their girth or something like that. It’s been a while since I’ve taken physics, but I think it would be benficial for penile mass to be part of the stats to see the real cubic girth.

Here is a much more presice method of calculating since your penis is different sizes at differents areas:
Find a tall glass or preferably a cylinder (from a pump). Fill it up to the very top with water and pour it into a measuring cup to see how much volume fits.

Next fill up the container enough that you know it’ll still be full of water after your dick is inside of it (but don’t fill it up all the way or you’re going to make one hell of a mess). Take your erections and stick it in the cylinder as far as possible almost like you’re trying to screw it (kinky huh?). Any excess water should overflow out. After removing your dick measure the remaining water and subtract that measurement from the original volume of the entire cylinder to get your total erect volume (or mass).

for instance, my cylinder was full at 250 mL. After I put my erection in it as far as possible there was only 100 mL of water left, thereforegiving my dick a volume of 150 mL. I believe this converts directly into 150 cubic centimeters of mass (because of the density of water).

I’m thinking this is the best way to see how your overall results are going, and to see if things like hanging just make you longer, or actually give you more penile mass.

What do you guys think???
Sorry for the long e-mail….just thought this would be more precise than estimates

skinny

I’m pretty sure that is the correct conversion. And it would be more precise. You would want to be sure not to use cold water though, if you are looking for your maximum measurement…

Retired.

Also, I think it’s volume and not mass you’re measuring. I’m no rocket-surgeon, but I believe mass is more closely related to weight.

If I may restate this.....

It is indeed volume that is being directly measured, then converted to mass (weight) by the fact that 1cc of water weighs 1 gram, and that to a good approximation, our dicks have the same density as water.

Good “applied physics”, skinnyguy!!!!!

Have you tried repeating this several times to see how much variation there is? If you push your fat pad into the tube a little harder, you’ll displace more water.

BTW, how do you stick your dick in a tube full of water? Lie over a chair or something? I have a tube for pumping, so I’d probably water pump in the bath tub, draw maybe 1-2” of vacuum with the tube completely full of water (another advantage to sucking on a hose instead of using a pump), then pull off the hose and dump all the water into a container. Subtract that from how much water it takes to fill the empty tube.

Have you compared your results with calculated volume based on measurements? I think you can get a pretty good idea of volume by taking several circumference measurements. Say an 8” penis is 6” for 1” of length at the base, 5.5” for 3 inches above that, and the rest 5”.

volume of a 6” x 1” cylinder = 2.87
volume of a 5.5” x 3” cylinder = 7.23
volume of a 5” x 4” cylinder = 7.96

total = 18.06 cubic inches

This is more accurate than using only the 5.5” midshaft girth, which comes out to 19.27 cubic inches. The taper in my example is extreme. Obviously, a real dick isn’t going to neck down 1/2” at exactly 1” from the base, but you get the idea. The more segments you use, the more accurate the result.

Probably the best way to compare volume is to cast your dick using one of the available kits. Make sure the before and after end at the same point on the base (no balls or such adding volume), then toss each in a container full of water. Measure how much spills out. Besides, it would be cool to have a pre-PE replica for visual comparison.:)

It would be tough to measure the equivalence of bone-pressed with this method but I don’t think there is another way.

Starting: 5 BPEL x 4.5 EG on 4/19/03

Latest: 6 BPEL x 5 EG on 2/17/04

Goal: 7 BPEL x 6 EG

Whoa, didn’t even realize people replied to this! Sweet. Anyway, I thought this would be the best method for seeing total mass, because if you push your hard-on into the cylinder as far as possible, it is pretty much the same amount of penile mass that would go into the oh so pretty vagina whether or not that is your exact bone pressed length. That way you can see if you’re actualy penile mass is getting bigger. Sometimes I feel like this (or the casting idea) would be the best way to confirm results since girth can be differerent sizes at different levels (like my skinny-ass base), and length measurements may not not be so precise at times.

Just a thought, thanks for all the responses!

The way most of us do the volume calculation is only an estimate. We assume it’s a cylinder rather than a penis, then do the calculation using BPEL(or NBP if you prefer), and mid-shaft girth.

This won’t be the exact volume, but is close enough.

Circumference = 2 * Pi * R
so Radius = Circumference / 2*pi
Then you do the volume of a cylinder calculation which is Pi * r^2 * length.

8x6 equals 22.91 cubic inches according to this.

Assuming the penis to be a cylinder will give an over estimation, as a cylinder is the most efficent use of space and the rounding glans is taken as a cylinder too. This doesnt matter much, X cubic inches is meaningless to me, what matters to me is the % difference in readings as I progress, i gained about 9% more “meat” in my first month. Another method is to fill a pump cylinder, suitable bottle, kitchen roll tube etc with sand, small beads or those white bean bag balls, weigh how much fits into it empty to the brim. Then stick your cock in and fill with sand again and calculate the difference in weight. So you may start at 200grams of “sand cock” and have a goal of 300g.

The "average size" is usually over-estimated. Small guys don't take part in surveys and big guys jump at the chance.

I don’t believe that you can determine mass by simply doing a volume reading, then attributing to the penis the same density as water. I believe that the penis must contain more density than water - even though water is heavy.

Furthermore, I really don’t care about mass - it seems irrelevant for what we use our penii for. Astronomers claim that only about 1 cubic cm of matter from a black hole would weigh more than an ocean liner - yet it’s still only 1 cubic cm. A 5 x 4 cylinder of lead would weigh a lot more than an 8 x 6 cock - but the vaginal displacement would be far less.

I also agree with hobby’s approach of breaking the unit down into segments, I had attempted that very thing before and received some deviation. I’m not really using volume measurements to determine my absolute displacement, but to chart progress.

I agree totally, mass is irrelevant. If you were replying to my post about the sand weight, the sand weight only gives you a % increase in size but this is just a figure. If you displace 200g of sand prePE and 400g after a year you have doubled in size. If you displace 2g of polysterene balls you would displace 4g after 1 year. The heavier/denser the items displaced the more accurate the reading, due to a better reading from a limited weighing scales. When tracking my gains in ml or cubic inches I always ended up calculating the % gained.

If you want more real life figures you should be measuring the volume (not mass) of the sand/beads displaced. It is also more handy using volume when comparing with forum members. Some people may not have accurate methods/equipment to measure volumes so a weighing scale may be more accurate.
