I’ve become slightly discouraged recently because my newbie gains only amounted to about 1/2 inch in length, if that. To make things worse, I’ve had a really low LOT—around 7 (8 on a good day).

Recently, I’ve really upped my stretching and cut back dramatically on any girth work. I jelq at 30-40% (about 30 minutes per day). I stretch at least twice a day for about 10-15 minutes at a pop, and with a lot of force. And, within the last 10 days or so, I started hanging with my new Bib Hanger. I mostly “hang” straight out, while sitting in a chair.

This morning, I had my first indications that I may be breaking through my “plateau.” I started playing with tugback after my stretching session, and, lo and behold, my LOT had increased!! I was easily an 8 and maybe a 9, which is a huge improvement and is the first clear evidence that my tunica is stretching.

I also noticed that my flaccid upward stretch now passes my navel by more than just a hair—another sign of improvement.

I haven’t yet measured, and I don’t think my numbers have changed much if any, but these indications clearly show that something is changing, and I think (hope) it’s for the better.

On the other hand, all of the hair on my balls is turning gray! You’ve heard of the great silver back. How ‘bout the silver balls?

Good to hear you are making progress.
I also judge my progress by my navel. I think it is very effective.

Nothing wrong with the half inch. You have to start somewhere. No need to get discouraged either. That will just get you frustrated, causing you to push too hard, and then ending up with an injury. This isn’t a sprint. It takes time.

Your post started out a little negatively but you’re quite positive by the end. 0.5” is about typical and if your flaccid stretched length is increasing and your LOT is also, then it certainly seems like you’re on the right track.

Like jGman says, keep at it - but don’t raise the intensity or pace. It sounds like you’re doing quite a lot now.

Thanks for the words of encouragement, and especially for the warnings. I’m starting to feel some fatigue while hanging, so maybe I’ll cut back a tad on the weight.

I’ll report back if the ruler gives me any good news.
