Does anyone have any idea where I can buy cable clamps in Sydney?

I brought mine over from home but broke it…..

Any help greatly appreciated as I had been getting excellent gains with these until it broke.

Don’t you guys have hardware stores?

The Bunnings Warehouse site says they’ll special order things they don’t stock.

Westla… I work at Bunnings warehouse. That’s a complete lie about special orders. Things never get ordered - the fact of the matter is that “special orders” is just some guy behind a desk who gets pieces of paper with some dudes name on it saying that he wants such and such a thing. He then looks up numbers in the yellow pages and rings up a supplier or two. If he doesn’t find what he’s looking for, he bones it. If he does find what he’s looking for, ordering a small item by itself is hardly ever practical. shipping and all that. There are also more reaons why this doesn’t work and one of them is gross incompetance/laziness/underpaidness.

You can get hose clamps from isle 48 of any *updated* store. Not the old HardWareHouse stores though. I’ve been using a hose clamp as opposed to a cable clamp for extreme uli thinging. Works fine, just use a heap of wrapping because otherwise you will cut yourself.

I bought some from a “two dollar” discount/disposal store, it
was a $2 for a pack of 1 medium and 3 small.

I’m not sure if they are the real deal
as the teeth can slip pretty easily. They are made in China.
I tried using some insulation closed cell foam under the clamp,
and it tends to slip.

Also saw some being sold on ebay.com.au about $3.50 for same packet.

It’s like when you have a really bad sore/injury and just have to keep prodding it. Any slight touch hurts like hell, and your mention of the name was like that prod which prompted my response….

I hate that place. I recommend that anybody who chooses to get a job, get one someplace else. Minimum wage and heavy lifting and talking to retarded customers all day is not my idea of fun. I am over 20 years old and get something like $14 an hour. It’s pathetic. I am worth way more than that just for my sheer beauty.

Besides, I don’t know squat about the products really. I just tell people some random isle number and then hide, generally.

I just bought them from bunnings today. They cost me $9 and they are the real deal. I am hear in Perth, I am not sure if they are in Sydney or not though. But may be if you can ask at your local bunnings if they could get it from their perth counterpart.

In what section did you find them?
I haven’t been able to find them anywhere in Bunnings!
I can’t really ask cause I am a tradesman and know a lot of the staff!

“Cable clamps? What are you going to use then for?”
