Please reply if this is in your PE history:

1) You worked on both length and girth. (Length increased.)
2) You stopped working on length, but continued working on girth

My question: did your girth grow faster after you stopped length work? Or not?

I myself am rapidly approaching my length goal, but my girth is stubborn. I’m crossing my fingers that once I stop working on length, girth will happen.

People toss around the “rubber-band theory,” which says that gains in one direction (length/girth) slows down gains in the other direction.

If you have personally experienced the rubber-band theory, whether it worked or not, I’d love to hear from you.

The rubber band theory applies to girth only: it’s easier to stretch a thin rubber band than a fat one.

I’ve never heard anyone say it’s easier to fatten a short dick than a long one. As far as I have heard, length has no bearing on girth gains.

Okay, so let’s not use the word “rubber-band” here then.

My basic question remains: will girth grow faster if I avoid stretching?

My idea is that the microtears (etc.) stimulate tissue growth, but that this extra tissue can go into either length or girth (or both). Say, if I avoid strecthing, and add ULIs to my jelqing, will the extra tissue go more into girth? So there’d be a trade-off: you choose where the tissue goes by the exercises you perform.

I doubt it. Stretching might even help. The tunica, which envelopes the corpora cavernosa of the penis, consists of an inner layer of circumferential collagen fibers and an outer layer of axial (longitudinal) fibers. Stretching mainly works the outer, axial layer, wheras girth exercises mainly work the inner, circumferential layer. They really are independent.

I think that mixing up the exercises might help each because stretching any layer of the tunica has the effect of thinning the other layer, e.g., stretching the axial layer will tend to thin the circumferential layer. Thinner layers are probably easier to stretch than thicker ones. Thus, an axially stretched penis will have a thinner circumferential layer, which will then be easier to stretch for the purpose of gaining girth.

I you’re talking about an inflatable penile implant, then I think the answer is yes. The way to do this is to progressively increase the size of the implant or the degree of inflation (assuming that can be done; I’m not familiar with how the implants are made and whether they’re elastic).

Over time, the skin, blood vessels, nerves, and other connective tissue will grow in the direction of stress applied from the inside by the implant.

Obviously, this is not to be attempted except under the strict supervision of your doctor.

Ah, com’n Modesto. I got a ziplock bag and bicycle pump in the garage with the words “inflatable penile implant” written all over them. :)
