Shaving and the Itch!

Damn, sometimes I shave down there and it’s fine. But recently I shaved a few times and cannot stop itching around the base of my dick. It is red there too, I guess from all the itching. Maybe I should just go back to trimming??

Weird that trimming gives you itches? I am going to go back to it, but it is so time intensive. Anyone here Naired their dick or balls?? I am guessing that probably isn’t a good idea.

I have to shave the base of my cock now bcause of a circ I had as an adult. (maybe a little due to pe but mostly fromthe circ) Some of the skin from my pubic area is now the base of my penis. It’s also two toned now but that’s okay. (I’m mexican, and have brown skin. My penis was always a shades darker than the rest of me, so now, the base is lighter than the rest.)

Anyway, I found that shaving every couple days was best. I tried everyday and it gave me spots and razor burn. So I just waited a couple of days and now it’s fine. I guess a lot of shaving creme is helpful too.

I’ve been thinking of picking up a Norelco strictly for shaving the sac. I like blades for the face, but last time I shaved my dick I got some serious ingrown hairs and razor burn that made the skin start flaking. Looked like I had a disease.

This whole ball shaving thing is new to me. I started after talking to a gay friend at a bar. He told that shorn balls are the best feeling around. And that he shaves and waxes everything chin to toe.

I did that once to get rid of some crabs i picked up from a hostel somewhere. Never again. I looked like a huge ugly baby. He can spend his days at the gym and his nights snorting meth, i’ll just keep a little hair on to give me that manly look without all the work.

He was right about the balls though. I think the best thing to prevent ingrown hairs is to take a hot shower for a while first. Get everything softened up. And like said above, use plenty of cream.

Maybe we should bring some women into this discussion. They seem to have these issues down cold.

I shave my shaft and ballsack every saturday in the shower, last thing I do. Have never had a problem with burn or ingrowns, but then again, I’ve got a baby face, hair doesn’t grow quick anywhere on me ‘cept my head :)

I shaved but it itches like hell, i will never shave down there again, I will let it grow back to the jungle it was before.

Being a hairy Italian, hair is everywhere. I am completely shaven down south. I usually shave there everyother day, us my “face” razor before it gets pitched. Have yet to have a problem, although I did cut myself when I first started. Now it stands up ready to be shaven, making shaving easier.

I shave, and it doesn’t itch. I do it while I shower sometimes. I guess I’m lucky? :D

I’ve been shaving for a couple of years now, and I will never go back to ‘jungle’ look. I’ve never had a serious problem with itching or ingrown hairs. One thing I would recommend: pick up a container of cocoa butter (a couple of bucks at your local drugstore) and apply this after you shave. Be sure to dry off Chuck and Buck before you apply the cream. It’s really soft and smooth. Doesn’t really smell too bad. Actually, I like the smell. You could certainly use if for jelqing as well. Works pretty well. This should help keep the skin soft and hopefully reduce any irritation.

I don’t shave my dick, I just trim it; on the other hand, I do shave my sack. I think it’s time to give cocoa butter a try, I’ve been meaning to for years.

Hi guys. I’ll add my two Aussie cents worth. I have shaved my scrotum from time to time along with the penis hair. I have never shaved all my pubes, as I didn’t want guys to stare in the showers after swimming.

I think it’s best to be erect before shaving and it is certainly easier to shave the scrotum if it is engorged with blood accompanying an erection. I I have never had an itch or problem from shaving. I think the thing is to do it often enough as others have posted. A warning to those doing it for the first time. Be careful not to cut the ridge of skin running down the centre. I nicked that once. Boy did it hurt something bad. Use lots of hot water and shaving cream. The smooth feeling is so erotic, but as I posted with my pics, my wife likes her man hairy, so I have let the jungle grow again.

Pat, after you shave, use an aftershave. Always choose a aftershave with little or no alcohol, because alcohol can dry your skin out, and make you look older.

Then apply an anti-aging balm. Then a moisterizer. Followed by a final, protective lotion.

I pluck the hairs right down to the base and then use my small electric clippers to do my nut sack; this cuts the hair close enough to get the smooth feeling but not enough to cause ingrown hairs and itching. Oh when you pluck make sure you’ve got a semi and pull the skin tight in the area you’re working on.

I once plucked my whole scrotum…….took fucking ages and kinda burned !?!
