Shedding the Snake: Peeling to Remove Discoloration

Ok cool… that’s good to know. How many times do you think you’ve done this?

On another note I was in a drugstore today looking for some skin toner which claims to really clean skin well… removing impurities and such. Some of these mentioned lightening the skin, but it wasn’t the main purpose of the stuff. Anyway, I was about to buy one of these not really thinking it would do anything when I saw something else… it’s called Neutrogena illuminating skin polishing enzyme peel. If it does work this stuff would be perfect… I will write what’s on the back of the box below.

A twice per week facial care product that dramatically reveals smoother, softer, more even-toned skin after just one use. This breakthrough refreshing gel formula contains a naturally derived skin brightening enzyme and helps to polish skin, reduce the appearance of discolouration, blotchiness and uneven tone. Micro-exfoliators help reveal a smoother, more radiant complexion. Simply apply to freshly cleansed skin, leave on for 7 - 10 minutes and rinse thoroughly. Instantly you’ll see a noticeable improvement in the look and feel of skin. Used wo times per week, skin tone and uniformity are dramatically improved.

What does an enzyme peel do?
This product contains naturally-sourced botanical enzymes; they work by mimicking skin’s own enzymes, dissolving away cell adhesion molecules to exfoliate dead surface cells, thereby helping to reduce dicolouration and even skin tone. When an enzyme is able to work in skin’s natural pH environment and self-neutralize, minimal risk of over-exfoliation exists, making it an effective yet safe solution for intensice facial care at home.

Ok… so maybe it won’t work quite as well as it says there, but it could. Even if it works just a little bit it would be great. I have a pretty large dark area on my shaft which I really want to get rid of. Peeling is getting more difficult as I think your skin gets used to the stuff and doesn’t peel as well after using it a few times. Right now I’m waiting for it to heal from another peel, but I will try the Neutrogena stuff after that.

Any thoughts from anyone?

Should you pretreat your penis with aha loation before applying the peel or can you use it on your dick right of the shelf?

Btw I’m planning on using a 15% tca chemical peel

My bruising has stopped after I stopped clamping. I am not sure that any creams would have helped with the amount of discoloration I had.

The directions don’t mention any other substances than the peel itself… so I’d just wash it first… that’s it.

How long should you wait between touch ups?

I’d say at least a couple of weeks after it actually peels… not after just burning it.

I managed to use this method with quite a bit of success for a number of applications. I would apply the chemical wait for it to peel and within a few days the areas that got a decent burn were back to their original state.

However, towards the end I got a little greedy and attempted to reapply the wart remover multiple times on the same area over a half an hour period. Now after a few weeks since my last peel, the skin that I applied the wart remover to is still very red and has not seen much if any improvement. Im getting worried that I may have burned too many layers of skin and that I will have some scarring.
Has anybody else gone through a similar experience?

Is it alright if you drink and smoke weed during the healing process?

Alright with whom? The government? Your parents? Lack of common sense is a contraindication for using chemical peels.

I’m saying when the shit has peeled will smoking weed n drinking make the healing process take longer

Some clarification needed

Firstly I wanted to thank Hobby and all the guys who have contributed to this thread and developing this technique.

Could I suggest at some point someone does a “peeling 101”. I have read a lot of the posts in this thread, but it has taken me ages and the advice is so split between posts it is quite hard to follow.

Really, after some bad hanging technique I developed some discolouration a few months back. This was created where the hanger trapped some skin. It runs about 2 inches around my whole shaft from midshaft into my foreskin. Here is a picture..

Since this was taken two months ago the disoclouration has faded (I’ve been using bio oil twice daily), but it is still very visable (as shown in attached pic), so I have decided to try a peel. I’m sure if I left the situation for a year or so it may have all but gone, but I wanted to help it along the way.

And so I’m looking for some advice.

I plan to use compound W to try a peel. I will try a small test area and then a larger peel, but would like some advice on the following from folks who have peeled with some results.

1 - I apply the compound w to the area (a decent covering), would you guys suggest I target the whole discolouration in one sitting, or should I do it over a longer period, i.e. half the area then the other half 2 weeks later? Is it OK to treat the area I need, i.e. the outside of the foreskin around the shaft (as shown in my pic)?

2 - I’m a little confused, after I have applied it with the applicator and left it for 5-6 minutes, it forms a film, correct? Is this film to be washed-off or peeled-off? Once I have done this, should the skin underneath be white, will it be smooth? If so, does this “white” need washing off or is it just left in that condition? Do I need to apply any further solutions, earlier posts suggest bicard of soda to nutralise?

3 - After the application, the area should eventually turn darker and start to peel. When it does you just leave the area to its own devices, however, should you avoid washing the area? Should you apply moisturiser, if so, at what stage? Or in reality is normal washing and moistuising fine, just no picking?

4 - I’m assuming I may need several applications over a good few month period. However, what is the rate of use of the solution? It seems to be sold in 6.5ml, how long will this last me, how many applications would I expect to get from this?

And if anyone else has any further advice, much appreciated. I will of course stop all PE etc for at least 7-10 days.

I do plan to do this peel in about two weeks time and will of course post an update and update pic when I have attempted the process.

Thanks,

Oh, one other maybe daft question, do you guys apply compound w, etc, when flaccid or erect? Would being erect and using a clamp for the application stage give a better coverage?

1) I suggest trying a small area first so you can see how the process goes. The area between the circ scar and head is very sensitive, so don’t burn there until later (if needed at all — I haven’t seen your pictures). If all goes well with the test area, it’s your call whether to burn everything at once.

2) The wart remover, assuming it is Compound-W or similar, will turn white when it dries. You’ll rinse/wipe that off. Your skin underneath will have a white tinge. That “frosting” is dead skin. Leave it alone.

Leave the wart remover on for a decent length of time. Its action is self-limiting. There is no need to neutralize.

3) Avoid scrubbing with a washcloth. When the skin starts peeling you’ll find that portions rinse off when you shower. Be patient and resist the urge to pick off more than is loose.

I moisturized from immediately after the burn until the peeling was complete, but it probably isn’t necessary until the skin darkens.

4) My bottles contained a little over 9 mL each. I used two for all my peeling. The amount in one would probably have been enough, but repeated exposures to air caused the remaining solution in the first bottle to become too gummy. Don’t leave the lid off any longer than necessary.

5) I always applied it flaccid, but I stretched the skin taut.

Be sure to take before and after pictures. You can post them in the Member Pics forum if you like.
