I made one of these quite a while back. Used it on and off, seems to work really well, and it was comfortable. But, I’ve developed a renewed interest after reading about the Italian study using a “conventional” penis extender, which showed real results. From what I’ve read those devices place something like 900-1500 grams force (equivalent to something like 2-3 pounds) on the member. After 6 months, 6 hours a day (or something similar) this results in a real increase in length.

So, I’m wondering 2 things.

Do we have any idea how much force the Shunga Roll exerts, with 1 rubber band, 2 bands, etc?

How does this compare to what hangers use?

Or what happens if your rubber band snaps?

I started using the Shunga Roll this week.The fist day I had a problem with the roll unraveling from the inside.To fix this I wrap with Theraband and place a silicone ring over the roll.

I estimate the pull at around 3 lbs.It’s very easy to put on and take off,very comfortable and gives me a nice stretch.I especially like to ware it out when I can’t be home hanging. I took Phillipoliver’s advice and ordered the stretch laces with locks.

I started using it also this week…ran into a few problems with the wrapping either to tight and cutting off circulation or too loose and pulling off… to solve my problems I wrap as u suggested shunga, by wrapping one turn up one down and then up again and velcroing around the first wrap if that makes sense. also I use baby powder to hold grip n it works well. I used it for 3 hrs today and when i took it off i was a lil cold and itchy but no worse for the wear. I awarded myself with jerkin off haha which also helps get maximum blood back as quickly as possible…I’ll keep you updated on how it goes from here.

Oh also I use elastic instead of rubberbands because of feasibility and reuseability and it so far successful. If i keep having cold and itchy issues I will go back to rubberbands and see how they compare.

Great feedback guys! Keep messing around with the wrap technique and tension. Eventually you will find a set up that is comfortable most of the day.

I have no idea of the force applied by the rubber bands but do know that to much force makes my dick go cold. vac hanging at 12-15 lbs never makes my unit cold but then again I limit my hanging sets to 30 minutes max.

I’ve made my shunga roll months a few months now.

Basically I put a weight(3lb dumbbell) and measure how far the rubber bands extends.
So when I put on my leg strap, I measure to see if the stretch from the rubber bands is the same.

That’s how I figure out the force applied. F= ma.
So a 3lb dumbell, acceleration = 9.81
I would get about 1361 grams, once the stretch of the bands remain the same.

Very nice coppershot, I very well am probably using too much force then. Because I got a rash (I can attribute it to pulling from the shunga roll) from almost what I would describe as a “slow-motion rug burn” lol, anyone else get anything of the sort?

I’m gonna go back to the rubberbands and let you know how that goes.

I have found that the best results for me are when I can use a moderate pull for a long time. I look for a good deep ache to set in at around hour 8 or 9. I want things to be very neutral and comfortable early in the day.

Well how cold is cold? I’m going by if my dick fals asleep then I’ve gone to far and if its a lil cold and purple but not blue I’m ok…

Am I right here^^^

Is there a critical temperature I should be careful about going under? I have a thermometer and can check whether I’m in the “critical zone” haha.

FYI- I have been using this ads about 3 to 4 hours a day because I get too sore from anymore. Also this and some periodic stretching before and after is my only workout. I also jelq less than 5 min everyday.

Question - for an ADS to be successful, does the stretched length need to be at maximum (i.e. close or at BPFSL). For example my flaccid stretched length is 7.5, but just now when I tried the ADS there is gentle pull and it gets to about 6.5. Is this a waste of time? Or is it still useful to have it stretched at less than full stretch? Any people who gained using ADS care to comment?

This is an awesome and cheap (quality:p rice) for an ADS device. I started wearing this like a week ago and I can get a good stretch for 45 mins without sustaining any injury. This is the only ADS that work for me since I have a circumcised penis but it’s the low and loose type (I’m planning to have it corrected later but not really a big deal). The key for getting a good grip for me is using ACE self-adhering bandages cut into strips. I am looking forward on wearing the ADS for at least 3-4 hours at a time.

Regarding the bulge, I happen to realize that this thing still shows a little bulge for me but I’m not complaining since it’s not too obvious. It just gives me a “zucchini down the pants” look and unless the people actually touch it and feel the groove of the roll, there’s no way to tell.

So thanks again Shunga. This is a great ADS you’ve made.
