Slow server

Verio seems to be having problems tonight. I have a support ticket in asking someone to check it out. Seems to be getting a little better now, still not back to normal though.

Server has been slow or non-existent for the last hour or so. I notified the server company and they are working on it.

Slow/No server.

Support request is in. The problem appears worse today than yesterday. It may be repaired soon, we can hope anyway!

Yes, the server problems continue. They are having problems with four servers (now three) and ours is third on the list to be fixed/replaced whichever they need to do. I have numerous support tickets in. I really think they are spending too much time trying to figure out what the problem is, instead of just replacing the server, getting people’s sites stabilized and then they can go back and look at the cause of the problem. Not looking too good for a company that used to have an excellent service record.

I know what it feels like to try to log in here and not be able to, kinda makes your heart skip a little. At this point in time, we automatically assume the worst possible situation. These slow server/no server outages will probably continue for the next two weeks. By then our server company, VenturesOnline, will be in their own network operations center and not be at the mercy of Verio, which is bleeding badly and closing network centers all across the US. That probably means that the support/technical staff at Verio is dwindling or just doesn’t care as much as they once did.

Hopefully it will not be too bad. I thought some information about the server would help you guys out a little.
