Stretching can affect girth gain?

When a sample of material is stretched in one direction, it tends to contract (or rarely, expand) in the other two directions.
“Poisson’s ratio “(PR), named after Simeon Poisson is the ratio of transverse deformation strain to longitudinal deformation strain in the direction of stretching force. “Strain” is defined in elementary form as the change in length divided by the original length.

Since, in stretching exercises either by hands or weights, the forces on the penile tissues are almost axial (longitudinal) so there should be contraction laterally in the stretched tissues. If one does only stretching exercises over a long time and gets some gain in length, his should lose his girth by a little amount. However, in girth increasing exercises, no pure one-directional forces are induced in the penis. In fact forces are applied in all directions by combination of hands and blood pressure in jelqing and mostly by blood pressure in clamping. So, Poisson ratio affect cannot be applied in these cases. So pure girth exercises should not affect length at all.

So, here is my conclusion, length gain by stretching and weights should affect girth gain a little, but reverse case should not occur. My idea may not be correct, but I have tried to cast something using the concept of my penile enlargement incorporating with properties of materials.

Nothing impossible, but it’s difficult to relate girth gain to stretching effect only. Base thickness is possible by isolation process by stretching, but how one can gain in thickness of his CS, CC and perimeter of tunica is very difficult to explain. To me they should contract.

I am still open to any possibilities.

I believe that anything obtained practically can be explained by conceptions and theories.

I’ve been doing stretching and girth exercises simultaneously. So, I can’t apply my hypothesis to my gains. So, far I have gained in both ways satisfactorily.

If you stretch a t-shirt longitudinally it also becomes stretched latitudinally. The cross-weave of the collagen that forms the tunica has a similar construction.

The bilayer (and 20% possible trilayer) tunica arrangement tends to discount your use of Poisson’ ratio in this situation. The inner layer has circumstantially arranged collagen bundles and the outer has longitudinally arranged bundles. Photomicrographs show that collagen fiber bundles “creep” or splay when stretched in a direction perpendicular to the fiber orientation (biaxial stretch). This IMO allows both length and girth without expense to one or the other. The t-shirt analogy does not work, it is not a mesh in a single layer.

This fiber bundle “creep”, in my mind, explains the observation that many of us have made of larger girth and/or lengths with night-time erections at the expense of neither. I know that many will say that much of the girth increases with NPT are due to CS increase, but that cannot explain longer lengths.

The tunica design is ideal for its function during erection.

I did not actually think of bi-layer structure of tunica, although I knew of it. Anyway, your explanation is reasonable.
