The Captn's Wench: Supplies

Up here in Vermont, I got everything at Wal-mart for my Captn’s Wench.

Velcro
Cable Clamps
I used Polyester, instead of Nylon Strap
I also had to buy 1 1/2 inch circle grippers and cut them down to size, but thats how I made mine

I don’t know if this is the right place for this question but,has anyone tried putting a gripper on top of the wench?What I mean is when you wrap the wench around,would another piece of gripper on top of the penis be of any good? I thought about trying it but I’m not sure if it would help anything or not.My thought was when you clamped then it would get more surface area and cut down on slippage.

Idea of keeping it off the top is so you dont put any pressure on the dorsal nerve I believe (I’m still pretty new to this too).

You guys will love this hanger. I just built one and am feeling a very nice fatigue/soreness while doing SO and OTS for multiple sets. Keep hanging and testing new ways to wrap and new ways to tighten until you get you get hanging down for yourself. :)

I asked for cable clamps at Home Depot and they looked at me like I had lost my mind. They tried to give me hose clamps.close but no cigar.

What department are they in at Walmart? The tool section or automotive? Thanks for your help!

I found it in the hardware dept.

They are in hardware, but they’re a little difficult to find. Look where the extension cords are. They are made to clamp rolled extension cord, for easy storage.

Just curious, 1st post here but been lookin around and new to all this, but has anyone tried taking that #4 clamp and making a home made redi-stretcher, it doesn’t look like it would cost $83 ?

Joined to ask just the exact same thing! The only velcro I can find is ‘heavy duty’ velcro. I can’t find ‘industrial strength’ anywhere. Is it the same stuff or is ‘industrial’ stronger than ‘heavy duty.’

As for grippers, I don’t even know what a gripper is! I’ve never heard of the things!

I can find nylon straps but they are guitar straps and are 2” wide. I take it this would be too thick?

‘Cable clamps’ you can buy from B&Q no problem, I bought a set of them the other day.

Apart from that, can anyone from the UK help??

hey, I’m an american living here in germany….and am having the same problem getting the supplies for the wench. The US Bases here dont have the stuff either.

If someone would buy the supplies for two wenches, I’d be glad to paypal the money and a fee for their efforts to them

Anybody else find the cable clamps in Wal-Mart? I’ve been, can’t find, and the people there have no idea what I’m talking about. They keep asking me what I plan to use it for, and I can’t very well tell them, so I just tell them I need to clamp some cables. :)
