The Penis's Blood Source

Would anyone know where blood enters into the penis? Does it enter through the start of the root?

Yes, the main penile arteries enter the crura (legs) of the corpora cavernosa and the bulb of the penis for the corpus spongiosum. See attached image.

Ok, now we know how the blood gets there. But, how is it kept in? That is to say, how is an erection maintained?

Curious minds would like to know.

Cable clamps or vacuum cylinders is my guess.

It's better to think you're doing something than to sit back and wonder what might have been Start: 12/2003 EBPL: 7 15/16 EG: 5 1/4 Now: 12/2004 EBPL: 8 1/2 EG: 5 5/8 (pumped is 5 7/8 mid, 6.25 base) FL: 6.25

As the erectile chambers (corpora cavernosa, mainly, and corpus spongiosum) expand with blood they compress the veins that drain them. As long as stimulation is maintained, the veins are compressed and don’t drain away the blood filling the chambers. It’s well explained, with illustrations, here .

Thanks westla90069 :)
