There should be a hall of fame here. Like baseball, inductees are voted in except instead of five years, one year of membership for eligibility.

Voting on a set date every year the top ten with highest % votes are inducted.

What would the criteria be for the proposed inductees?

As in baseball, the only criterion is five years and the votes speak for themselves. One year sounds good enough.

My vote goes to DLD, hands down. Not just because of his gains but because of all that he has done to further the cause in general. Although I never had much contact with him, he always seemed to be a thoroughly great guy and that really goes a long way with me. Anyone that has issues with current developments in his life is (and keep my signiture in mind here) just jealous and silly.

Everyone is entitled to it but me. Think of the “Infamy thread” for me next time. I bet I would get Top 5!

Somebody do a poll, multiple choice for nominees, highest three are intial inductees.

Maybe first let guys post their potential nominees here. Do the poll from the potentilas and then Mr. Nick can write a short article about each of the inductees.

Let’s think this through first. There’s gotta be someone better, anyone to write the article. Why do we need an article anyway?

Well then first thing you should do is lay out some parameters for the voting. Are we voting for the most popular? The ones that contributed the most, the best thinkers?

Well since I got the idea from baseball, I’d have similar parameters. In baseball there are no set ones written in stone. Of course 500 homeruns 3000 hits and 300 wins is a ticket in, but nothing states it. Longevity, statistics, and raw ability all factor into the voter’s head and he votes what he believes, not following set parameters.

So the voter should consider the many factors that make up the inductee persona from popularity to contibutions. Again strictly up to the voter.
