Has anyone besides been having trouble with the forum loading disgustingly slow? I have DSL and other webpages are loading normally while Thunders takes forever.

As of right now, it seems plenty fast to me. Earlier in the week I was experiencing DNS problems with thundersplace, but that cleared up after an hour or two.
The machine is running as well as it can. There does seem to be some internet slow downs in the left hand side of the US at the moment. I did a trace to the server and lost packets at just about every node. Hopefully it clears up soon.

To me Thunder’s is running fine. I havn’t noticed it being slow here. I was at a few pic sites last night though & they were so slow loading images. Usually I don’t have problems there. So it makes sense now with what Thunder said.

Mine’s been running slow for the past few days. Like right now, I’m typing in the post reply box, and I can see the cursor moving, but the words aren’t showing up. Wait, wait…. OK, there they are.

Gard (and anyone else experiencing a slow server),
If its a continuous thing please do a couple of things. Firstly take a note of the page generation times at the bottom of the page and paste them into this thread. Second take a traceroute to the server (in windows pop up a box and type tracert https://www.thundersplace.org) and paste it in here leaving out step 1 of the trace (which has your IP address).
The more information we have on this the better.

Thunder may be all powerful (bow down to lord Thunder almighty) but I doubt he can fix your Internet connection. Maybe it was just a temporary glitch but if its widespread I’d really like to know about it. Thanks.

Is this just a slow computer rather than a slow Internet connection? Maybe you could do a traceroute too?
