Was I posting in Inviso-mode again or is that link not what you guys are looking for? :D I know they had about 5 or 6 other sizes on that site, what size is recommended?

I checked Lowe’s. They had hose clamps in all sized, but none with the turnkey.
All needed a screwdriver or wrench.

Homedepot next.

Hi
I use it for clamping because here in Italy no one sells cable clamps . They work fine and are easy to remove .

I promise I will have pictures of these things on the website by the end of the day.

I was just wondering what happens if the key breaks off? How are you going to remove the clamp? If you’re using it with a wench, tins snips might work. But if you’re clamping with it and the key breaks… :-k Better have a pair of pliers handy to try to turn the broken key area to remove it.

PE for length: so her heart stops when she sees it. PE for girth: to get her heart started again!

One need only leave the surface of the planet to realize we are all one people.

The turnkey clamp I’m using says this on the side in little faint stamped letters:
1 1/8” - 2 1/4”
No. 28
29 -57 mm

I think I’m on my fourth clamp since I started using them daily back around September. I haven’t had one break or lock yet, but I stop using a clamp when the screw becomes too grumpy…and I keep a few types of pliers in the toolbox.

I still aspire to go get a nut driver and start buying these things by the bag.

I’ve got one of these because cable clamps are hard to find here in the U.K. I too keep a pair of pliers handy just in case.

Grow yourself a whopper, then tell her to fuck off.

How about a quick release hose clamp -

I’ll stick with my cable cuff

The key on the Turn-Key just pulls off and can be reattached when you want to remove.

For those who find the mechanizm of the worm wears quickly or is getting rough, try getting some white grease onto the worm and inside the housing. It’ll double it’s life at least. Best if the grease is applied before the roughness appears. I’ll be greasing mine before sale.

Sounds like an idea you have, until the key snaps off. Ouch. Trip to the ER would suck.

No, no, the Key is removable and then can be reused to loosen. It doesn’t snap off, it can be pulled off. The inner shaft is square so if you loose the key just use a pair of pliers or small end wrench.

I made a turnkey clamp with a dime and some gel superglue. I just took a 23-70 mm hose clamp, gobbed some superglue in the slot, and put a dime in. It was fixed in place within 90 seconds or so, and then I let it set for an hour before I tried turning it under pressure. I’ve tried twisting and hitting the dime to try and get it loose. I don’t think it’s going anywhere. I still keep a 5/16ths nutdriver around, just in case.

I prefer it to the “real” turnkey clamps, because the smaller diameter of the dime makes it so I can get the clamp closer to my abdomen and still turn it easily.

Here it is around one a terrry cloth wrist band and one of my wife’s mousse cans.

Ike, I buy one!

I can’t find that type of hose clamp where I live, I have to push it on and can only tense it like 10 laps.
Your “invention” is not very dumb either.
