I always paid a lot of attention to heat in PE and I consider it very beneficial. To some extent, I’m afraid to do PE without proper warming up in fear of hurting myself. I also use heat in between exercises if I consider that tissue temperature isn’t high enough anymore. Of course, after PE I use heat to warm down. I use rice sock, but IR lamp would be ideal for constant source of heat throughout the session.

Recently I’ve read that it’s advised not to use heat after hanging because heat increases malleability of tissue which is not wanted after hanging since we want tissue to remain in elongated state. For this reason some people even cool down, i.e. use cold water immediately post workout to temporarily cement collagen. I’m against cool down because cold water makes my penis turtle so I always sticked to warm down.

Now, my question is… Since stretching is like hanging’s little brother, I suppose the same principles apply? Is it better to warm down after stretching or simply leave it be without warming down?

I’d appreciate some insight. :)

A lot of people consider the cool down to be natural room temperature. So if you do your warm ups staying hot throughout your session just continue it a little longer in normal room temperature which would count as the cool down.

I think ice or cold water is used like if you’ve done loads of clamping and are a little sore and bruised.

If you turtle straight away within a little while like half an hour to an hour wouldn’t it start hanging well again? In which case don’t worry about the initial turtling.

I never really tried cooling down with cold water, I’m just talking about what generally happens when I’m in cold surrounding… I turtle. :D I can’t imagine cold water not making me turtle.

Anyway, I want to know should I or should I not use rice sock after stretching?

The ones which cool down with cold water mantain the stretch ,meaning you make the penis maleable with heat , you stretch it to x length and then you keep it there while cooling down with cold water. Myself I “cool down” with room temperature, but always use heat before PE.

After hanging I do a session of jelqs . I hang for 2 sets of 15 minutes and after I do 220 jelqs beeing in my second week of hanging. After finishing the hanging sets I warm down with the shower and do my jelqs in the bathroom.

Should I stop using the hot shower before jelqing?

Just don’t do anything for the cool down. For the better part of the past year and a half, I’ve cooled down with room temperature.

Yeah, that’s what I decided to do. No warm down or cool down, just leave it at room temperature. :)

Kingpole suggested this to me right around 6 months into PE…..saying that that’s what he does and it has worked for him…..and it has worked for me. Heat IMO, shouldn’t be used all the time with such great frequency. I mean, it is good to do a thorough warm up, especially as a newbie but you don’t want to be too warm and pliable all the time; meaning you want your dick to be at its normal temperature while you do exercises causing great expansion because if you’re to warmed up it may be cause more retraction as opposed to a more room temperature penis. It just becomes unnecessary also when you warm up too much. I think warming up can be done with an exercise just as well as a hot towel. Like pumping with hot water for five minutes is a great warm up….it heats your penis up, it moistens it, and it drives fresh oxygenated blood full of nutrients to your penis, along with great expansion, which sees you through a great clamping set. This is all theory though but it sort of makes sense.
