When does a penis become too conditioned to gain?

I know this reiterates what I’ve posted before, so very briefly this time:
Been doing pe for about 7 months, basically the newbie routine and gradually adding more jelqs and stretches, recently added pumping. Didn’t jelq properly at first (not erect enough, and too-quick strokes) but corrected that several months ago. But have still seen no gains, or perhaps just miniscule gains (maybe 1/8” fully erect, but can’t be sure, as erection quality varies anyway).
Posted recently to get advice as to whether to take a break but didn’t get many responses, hoping for more this time!
I know everyone is different, but in general, out in the PE community as represented here (where it is represented best, in my opinion), when does a penis become too conditioned to gain?
I’m torn between taking a break of a month or two (would that even be enough to recondition?) and starting again with the newbie routine (and risk losing the flaccid gains I *have* made), or intensifying my routine.
If anyone has had experience similar to mine, I’d really appreciate some insights!

Right now I’m at about 6.25 BPEL, 5.75 NBPEL. My goal is 7” BPEL, and I’m not quite ready to give up the fight!

muggles my hero, can you tell us what your current routine looks like? Go into as much detail as you can so we can better help you assess the situation.

Based on what you’re saying I’m going to go ahead and lean towards not taking a break unless your erections are really flagging. The jury’s still out on deconditioning as it is.

Just curious, have you measured your girth? I’ve noticed very minor length gains over my months of PE and TONS of girth. My primary exercise if you hadn’t already guessed is jelqing. Girth is fine with me and i’ll just take the length as it comes so it works out.


Starting BPEL and EG 7 x 5 as of 3/30/07. I'm sure it's bigger now but I'll measure after this tub of vaseline is empty =)....as of 6/10/07 BPEL 7.25 and EG of 5.6 GOAL: 8 x 6.5...I'm on my way.

First, post your routine. Second if feel like you are not gaining then take d decon break of abot 4-6 weeks then start back.

I try to PE until my dick gets a little tired then i take a break. I think that’s how you know your working it enough for good gains. In other words don’t take the break. Are you a grower? Because it just might take more effort to break down the elasticity of your dick before you see real gains.

Thanks, all. Right now I’m just doing some stretching, bending, pumping, to “keep my hand in” — sort of taking a break, sort of not. This is what my routine WAS (the one that wasn’t giving me any gains!)
5 min hot wrap (with lesser periods of heat between exercises)
10 min 30-second stretches, all directions
10-20 min pump at low pressure
Jelq - as much as I can do/stand. This is a problem because I don’t find jelqing very sexually stimulating, so keeping hard enough was a problem. I’d try to do 200 jelqs but sometimes would have to content myself with 50 or so.

—— and stretches here and there throughout the day, for a total of about 20 min per day.

I read a post here recently, can’t remember the author, about not forcing yourself to do PE when your unit isn’t really up to it, but to take advantage of “good penis days” to do PE. That makes sense to me, so when I do PE now, it is on those good days. But I’m still waiting for better erections to return before I do much jelqing again.

I’ve pumped in the past and i don’t find it to help at all but that’s just me.

Why did you throw pumping into the mix?

I took a 2 week decon. Break. Got lots of red dots when I started back.pretty sure I read in the past, that is a good thing.

Maybe just take 2 weeks off?

Because in his past routine that he said didn’t help him he said he pumped. I’m just letting him know that my experience with pumping was a negative one as well. That’s why i threw it in the mix.

I added pumping after reading some posts here by people who said they’d gained with it. I find it does give a *temporary* flaccid gain, so I’ve continued pumping. If I can’t get permanent gains, I’ll settle for temporary! However, I have noticed that it decreases sensitivity, so I may have to stop.

A slight tangent: I’ve also found that ballooning creates what could arguably be called a temporary EL gain, in that it enables me to get the biggest possible erection. Maybe not a true “gain”, but again, I’ll take what I can get! (Ballooning, as I mention in another post, can actually be incorporated into sex; just grab and massage the base of your penis when you’re stopping your orgasm. I find that after doing this, I go deeper in my partner and hit places inside of her that I didn’t before, by maintaining that maximum “pre-cum” erection throughout the entire session.)

But pumping and ballooning are only stopgaps for me; what I’m really after are permanent gains!

LOL, I do the same. Gained a lot from it thankfully.

Muggles, jelq before you pump. Trying to get a more permanent gain is better than a temporary one. Try experimenting with different exercises instead of the pumping.

When you say, “I try to PE until my dick gets a little tired then i take a break” — how do you define “a little tired”? Negative PI’s? And how long is your “little break”?

What I mean is that after doing a few days of PEing my dick gets a little tense and my erection level goes down. Yes it’s a neg. PI, but that just means it’s time to take a break. I will usually break until my dick loosens up and my erections go back to normal. It’s usually only one or two days. I’ve read other senior members doing this as well. It’s good to do because when the negative PIs start you know that you’ve worked it to the max. Just don’t keep PEing when the neg. PIs start. LISTEN TO YOUR DICK!! It will tell you when to break.

Thanks OB, this is exactly what I’ve started doing: taking small breaks, and only doing PE when my little guy seems “up” for it.
