Where to measure BP

If so, by how much?

I am, and I’m hoping that this is the cause of me being robbed of 1.5”!

I could do with losing 1.5 stone :-(

Ok Ok this is weird.

I bought a wooden ruler today (and sawed it so that the beginning is at 0)

When I measure my BP, I press it in from where my penis joins my body. I align my penis with the ruler and check the measurement, I am standing whilst doing this.
This is also how I measure BPFSL.
Because I was using a tailors measure (cloth measuring tape) before, the difference in size is pretty dramatic.

Now my stats are reading BPEL - 7 1/4” and my BPFSL is the same??

That means my fat pad is 2”? I am VERY overweight, so I’m assuming that is correct but JESUS!!
It just keeps swimming round my head that I’ve done this incorrectly but I’ve measured a couple times (esp BPFSL) with the same results.

I NEED TO LOSE WEIGHT!

There’s a huge reason. You want a frame of reference.. One that’s going to be reliable across many/ all people using the forum. If you have overweight/ fat people doing lightly pressed measurements, you’re going to get a number much different from what a near anorexic/ or ultra lean person will get—even if their penis’s were the exact same size, perhaps you could get a measurement as much as 1-2 inches off. That’s why it’s important to specify whether you’re using a bone pressed/ or light press / touch measurement.

Perhaps you’re familiar with things such as accurate data collection in the realm of statistics. You can’t create numbers/ averages/ standard deviations/ norms if your sample is corrupt/ inaccurate. I’m sure people would like to use some of the numbers submitted to this forum. If they didn’t recommend a reliable/ accurate way of measuring, the data from the forum itself would be useless.

It’s best if everyone uses the same norms when measuring—if you’re going to share that information with others. This way you can create statistics/ or analysis and come to some kind of usable conclusion/comparison/ or analysis.

Why even post any measurement at all if you’re not going to do it in a way that makes it comparable with other measurements? I think the information becomes much more valuable when you know it’s accurate/ at least done each time with the same methodology, this way you can avoid incorrect conclusions.

then: 6" BPEL, 4.88" MSEG, 4.88" BEG

now: 7.625" BPEL, 5.5" MSEG, 6.5" BEG

Scientific comparability and consistency are the reasons for using BP. Because the placement of the pubic bone will never deviate, you are guaranteed a consistently comparable measurement standard over time.

As an overweight guy myself, I can tell you that I have a good sized fat pad, around 1.5”. I was surprised as well when I began to measure this way. With NBP, I can measure three different times and get three different results. Slightly differing pressure, different placement, etc. each time. It’s just not reliable, which means over time I have no idea if I am really witnessing changes or not.

Now, as far as using the “hidden” part of my penis: trust me, I can definitely get most of it in there! :rear:

It’s important to note the difference between putting the ruler above or on the side of the penis. Just measure at the same place - this usually works for me.

The bone to use is definitely on top. Follow the link in my signature for “Perfect Measuring Technique”. Measuring from the side is almost universally understood to be unreliable.
