white dots after shaving?

white dots after shaving?

I’ve shaved my pubic hair including some on the shaft. Now I’ve got some white dots along the bottom of my shaft and they hurt whenver I touch it, what the heck is this? is it normal?

thanks in advance

It sounds like the hairs have become ingrown. You probably can’t do much except to wait until they push through. That may take up to one week.

Clipping pubic hairs is much better than shaving them.

Observe... learn from other people's mistakes.

Do yourselves a favour and don't shave the shaft- particularly if you plan on clamping.

I’ve lost ~three months to three separate ingrown hair incidents, nasty pustules and all.

Even too close trimming can cause some degree of nastiness.

The white spots are caused from the ‘trauma’ of shaving a sensitive area i.e.; genital area. Also, it doesn’t help if you shave against the grain as this can cause great discomfort. For best results, shave side to side for a closer & smoother finish.

If you decide to pluck or tweeze, be careful as this will cause ingrown hairs - I found that out myself - & these can be extremely painful!

p.s. if you use a lubricant to shave with, try ‘baby oil’ instead of soap or shaving cream.
