It very well could be that they are a sign of progress for you. Gains are the last say in what works and what doesn’t so if you get red spots and gain I guess that could be the case.

Just make sure you keep tabs on its condition, but it sounds like it may be beneficial. I do a light tourniquet wrap after my jelqing to keep it filled. I can only wear it for about an hour before I have to remove it, but it is very effective for me.
