Just for fun, I made a weight hanger out of two toothbrushes, two pieces of cord about 18” long, and an S-hook.

Took about four minutes. Held ten pounds like a charm!

Also, you could make a starter version - two toothpicks and dental floss.

OK, this *is* a serious question - how much time did it take to put that TB hanger on?

Maybe three minutes - but I’m pretty used to tying things together…literally, at least….

You are amazing! I’ve got a couple of chicken bones and some duct tape - I think I’ll make myself a disposable unit. It may draw a few flies, but what the heck!

I did make an Eagle Scout version out of bamboo and twine..thought the duct tape wouldn’t be natural enough…!

Yes, chicken bones would work.

Point is - and I hope at least one or two people are getting it - once you learn how to tie a few knots, you can make a weight hanger very quickly, no matter where you are or how little thermoplastic is available.

Certain Africans figured that out long ago….
