It has stretched to 9+7/8” flaccid stretch under forward load, so something is happening. More forward, OTS etc should help.

The one thing about being Australian (and therefore living at the “other end of the earth???” ) I recently noticed ——and this is a bit of a “moan”——and PLEASE don’t take this personally—-is that there wasn’t a word about the Bali bombing on the board from your side of the world (at least last time I looked). The effects on the burns units in our hospitals—-including on some nurses that I know from our Choir, has been profound, and the country has been in “national mourning” since.

Now I know we don’t go into these things for example, every time there is (say) a bus bombing (say) in Israel, but……

Anyway, this is way off the topic.

I think everyone agreed to let the debate in the opinion forum die out. Certainly, the event in Bali is/was a horror. I do grieve for those who went through it and/or lost loved ones. I feared anything I might say would appear as gloating. There are no positives in the situation.

This is exactly what I was referring to in the opinion thread. It is not a US thing, but a western culture thing. It will probably happen again, in many other western countries.

Each time, the US position will be regarded in a little different light.

As grandpa used to say, “It all depends on who’s bull is being gored”. But why should anyone have to be gored?

You are quite right…The monster demands me to let him out….It is no longer up to me anymore….I will have a very, very, large stick….

I lived down under for a whole year…I’m very familiar with what’s going on in Bali…and East Timor. Australia will always have a place in my heart.

I will hijack this thread no further, and I know why the other one was let to rest. I nearly had this little steam let off the other day, and then decided to “can it”—-until today.
