The reason for my post is w/ regard to some questions about hanging or using resistance band stretching (with a hanger) and trying to minimize blood being trapped in the head of your penis. I have listed some questions below (I’d really appreciate some feedback and help). I did think I’d share the following with you (current measurement, previous stats and “temporary gains”) so you get a full picture.

I’ve “gained” a ¼ inch in girth over the last 3 weeks. However it’s safe to say these gains are temporary because I’ve only been doing the following routine for 3 weeks, the measurement was also taken a few hours after a PE session – which included the day I used the bathmate (despite me already noticing a larger girth during erections on days before any PE!) but I do feel these (and hopefully more gains, specifically in length) will become permanent as I continue with my regimen and possibly implementing other things in the future (see below).

DAY A –

Stretches (3 sets) - BTC left, center, right, DOWN (left, center, right), STRAIGHT OUT (left, center, right), UP (left, center, right)
Hanging (20 minutes only / 1 set)
600 wet Jelqs (first two weeks I began with 300)
10-15 minutes Bathmate
100 Kegel squeezes
50 Kegel 5 second holds
1 minute Kegel squeeze
Testicle Massage

DAY B –

Stretches (same as Day A – 3 Sets)
4 SETS OF HANGING (20 minutes each)
(I began with 15 ounces, worked my way to 2.5 pounds which I am currently using)

I alternate these days. Currently no rest days.

Anyway, the purpose of this post wasn’t to brag about my huge gain…lol…

It’s because I have some questions/concerns –

1) For a hanger, I’ve been using the “Captains Wrench” (found via web search for DIY my own hanger). It’s a pretty simple apparatus to “rig” and DIY

2) A few days ago I began doing some resistance band stretching (where I would attach a resistance band – similar to one you would work out with to the hanger – sit down – and attach the other end “x” feet in front of me to get a really decent / good stretch for an hour. I did this for 50 minutes prior to my hanging sets (I wanted to keep it on the hanging days so it further “hits” the ligaments). But after 50 minutes I found that my head was swollen and hard to touch! So I stopped.

3) I then began reading about Hangers and them trapping blood in your head, etc. etc. Blood has been trapped in the head/glans when hanging but certainly not to that extent!

4) If any of you are familiar with the “Captains Wrench” (I will certainly be getting a better apparatus in the future) do you know what a good way to prevent this from happening is? I really like the resistance band pulling and stretch…but I don’t want to jeopardize injury! When I remove it it only takes a few minutes for the head of my penis to go back to “normal”…but this also has me thinking about what will happen when I increase my weights for hanging. The same problem will likely occur. Most hangers will apply pressure to the glans, therefore trapping blood in the head.

5) From what I’ve read the best way around this is when wrapping – before attaching the hanger – squeeze all the blood out of the head of your penis to minimize it. And also attach the hanger as far back from the head as possible (which in my case is useless, as my head is half the size of my shaft…seriously…lol)

6) Since incorporating this resistance band stretching, I’ve also had some very slight pain / discomfort in the head of my penis (like right now for instance, yesterday I being the 2nd day I did it for 20 minutes, the first day was two days ago for 50 minutes than stopped – I had planned to do a full hour but then quickly realized the problem so I shortened the time – so after only 2 sessions of this “resistance band stretching” I am feeling some pain/discomfort in the head) perhaps I should take a rest day? Or stop completely? Again, it does have me thinking about what will happen when I increase my hanging weights though.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

BTW – Its also important to note that my previous PE experience was not as consistent of a regimen. It only consisted of Jelqs, using a Pro Extender (knock off Jes Extender) and Bathmate. This lasted about 6 months on and off. Now I have a consistent routine.

- I am considering using the Extender again as it would help on the days I hang but am struggling to DIY a some kind of Velcro strap to assist with keeping the head of my penis strapped in tightly (I know some guys that have done this to the same extender and its helped considerably). So if I can do this I will definitely incorporate utilization of the extender also.

- What are your thoughts on incorporating the extender? My main goal is to gain length in the shaft, so this (in addition to hanging – maybe cut out the “resistance band stretching completely” (had no pain on following days like today before starting it) and add in the extender. Just need to DIY it to make it more suitable and comfortable.

• THE ERECT LENGTH IS SMALLER THAN THE 5” LISTED PREVIOUSLY BUT I AM ASSUMING THAT THIS WAS BPEL OR NOT MEASURED CORRECTLY

(INCREASE IN GIRTH OF 1/4!)

THE MEASUREMENT WAS TAKEN A FEW HOURS AFTER A PE SESSION SO I KNOW THESE ARE TEMPORARY GAINS (NOT JUST BECAUSE I’VE BEEN DOING THIS CONSISTENT ROUTINE FOR SUCH A SMALL PERIOD OF TIME BUT IF I CONTINUE I BELIEVE THESE GAINS CAN BE PERMANENT. I’VE ALSO NOTICED A LARGER GIRTH IN ERECTION PRIOR TO TAKING THE MEASUREMENT AND ANY PE THE DAY THIS WAS TAKEN)

I think the importance of not having to much blood in the glans is dependent on your hanger.

If you end up getting an LG hanger I don’t think it will matter. I don’t have one but from what I have read I don’t believe it is the same issue and with a compression style hanger.

If you are using a Bib hanger you will want to avoid excess blood in the glans. I know there are individuals that try to hang with blood in the head because the “blood plug” allows the hanger to rest against something. However, as you get to higher weights the increased pressure in the glans from the blood usually causes a problem. From red dots, numbness, pain, and an actual tear in the skin at the external urethral orifice (where you pee from).

With a Bib hanger I squeeze the blood out of the glans and hold my hand on my glans and upper shaft while tightening the hanger and continuing to squeeze.. While I am doing this I push my penis down into the hanger. If you get a Bib you will understand what I am talking about. It is an avoidable situation if you focus on the technique in the beginning.

Now we all hang slightly different and someone else might have a different method.

Xeno has completely modified his hanger so I believe the issue is non-existent to him.

Agreed - It depends on the hanger…I’m going to post some pics in the progress and pics forum (where there supposed to be) maybe i could get some feedback on it (the hanger).
I’ve tried squeezing the blood out of the penis - right before I attach it but it doesn’t seem to work in my case. My hanger is the kind that needs something to rest on….that’s the way its made.

But then again I’m only wrapping (under the hanger) with gauze right now.

So I could use some help with how to wrap properly and that could make a difference until I get myself a BIB hanger or something else.

BTW - Whats the LG Hanger? I”m curious as to how its made if its not a compression style hanger.

Thanks. I looked it up. Does your method (for keeping blood out of the glans/head) work well with the Bib Hanger?

The only time I have ever had a problem is when I felt some pressure and instead of detaching the hanger and starting over I tried riding it out. Got a little numbness that day. Of hundreds of sets that only happened one time and I could have very easily fixed it but I was lazy

Gotcha. Doesn’t seem avoidable in my situation with my hanger. So I’ll be using light weight (increased to 5 pounds today) can definitely feel the pressure / blood in glans. But I’m making the following adjustments to my routine

PLANS / ADJUSTMENTS TO ROUTINE -

Today I increased to 5 pounds from 2.5 pounds. Can feel the blood/pressure in head and glans but its manageable (20 minute sets).

I will continue with the current regimen (Day A - Stretches, Jelq, Kegels, w 1 set of hanging and bathmate and Day B - 4 sets of Hanging)

Changes - incorporate extender (DIY’d a velcro strap for it today) for one hour each day to help with keeping the penis elongated. And will DISCONTINUE the resistance band stretching until I can get a hold of a new hanger. Will also keep my weight as manageable as possible (5 pounds may be my max until I can get a new hanger given the blood in the head/glans).

FYI - Yesterday took my first day off. Today resumed (Day B - Hanging) Began wrapping differently. Discontinued the gauze and got a cotton wrap. Also wrapping as high as possible on the Shaft and using the clamp on the top of the penis.

Any other hanger suggestions? (Besides the BIB or LG?) That are better versed to deal with this problem?
Don’t get me wrong, the “Captains Wrench” I DIY’d was never a long term solution just something to get me going…so I knew eventually I’d have to get something. But I can hang a lot more and I feel its the best method for length (which is my main goal) so if this is an issue I have to address I’d like to get something that is not only cost effective but helps either eliminate this problem all together or people are able to deal with it thru various methods like you mentioned above.

Well, your main problem (and it seems you fixed it) is the 50 min sets. Scratch that immediately and forever.

The other problem you may be having is the tightness of the hanging apparatus (your Captains Wench). All adjustable hanging devices can get too tight because we want the weight on there securely.

One thing I do is tighten down in stages over a period of a couple minutes. When I first put the wrap on, my cock wants to fatten up, so that is the beginning of the problem. I just put the wrap on, then put the hanger on and tighten it down snuggly. While my cock is getting used to the hanger I get my work area ready…reading material, weights loaded on the cord, etc.

After a min or 2 I tighten it down considerably more, feeling how snug it is. Then I add the S hook to see if it can handle the weight - I attach the weight but hold on to it - tightening down even more. But I try not to overtighten which is tricky.

It is a patience thing. And I don’t have it down completely because the weight has slipped off twice since the 4th of July and crashed onto the floor.

Also, at any point I begin to even think I feel the hanger sliding down towards the head (if it does this it is clearly too loose) I pull up the weight and tighten the hanger more. It needs to be snug but not too tight. I’m pretty sure hours and hours of practice eventually help us to get it right. Remember though that as the set goes past the 10 min mark your cock will naturally “thin out” especially after multiple sets, so re-adjusting is a possibility.

One last thing to consider is where the hanger settles once the weight is on. If the hanger is touching your head then you need to take the weights off and pull the hanger back towards your pubes, then re-tighten. Your head needs only the wrap to touch it.
