Compression Hanging Fatigue Calculation Cheat Sheet?

Compression Hanging Fatigue Calculation Cheat Sheet?

Can somebody in the know check this? Just to be clear I am calculating FATIGUE after the use of a compression hanger (Bib, Male hanger) .

1.Measure BPFSL in millimeters prior to starting hanging sets.

2.Measure BPFSL in millimeters after completing hanging sets.

3. Divide Pre hang BPFSL by Post hang BPFSL.

4.Multiply the result by 100. Should get something like 102.67 as an example.

5.Fatigue should be 2-4% above 100.

Only have one question, what is this talk about 4-6%. Is that referring to strain while hang??

(POST BPFSL - PRE BPFSL) / PRE BPFSL *100.

Example:

Pre 207mm, Post 209mm.

209 - 207 = 2

2 / 207 = 0.0096

0.0096 * 100 = 0.96

Strain / Elongation for that session would be 0.96%

EDIT:
Btw your formula is correct.

D: During-session measurement
A: Post-session measurement
B: Pre-session measurement
I: Increase
I%: Increase percentage

Strain rate %
I = d - b
S % = ( I / b ) · 100

Fatigue rate %
I = a - b
F % = ( I / b ) · 100

Thanks. My understanding is that strain is during the activity while fatigue is after. Very had to calculate during with compression hanging. Hanger gets in the way.

Thanks for the link to the calculator.. That is a great tool. Do you follow the % guidelines?

4-6% for Strain
2-4% for Fatigue
