oK, heres the deal, last night and this morning, during my light jelqing sessions on the outward (forward) stroke it feels like something is loose on the top of the shaft benhind the head but on the shaftm not on the cric skin or ridge. It doesn’t hurt, but it just feels kinda weird???

I think maybe its because my skin is looser, but I can feel it beneath the skin.

During my yesterday hanging sessions, after I detached the hanger I realized it was pinching some top shaft skin…Do you think this might have casued it? Once again, it doesn’t hurt, just feels weird.

I’d appreciate some comments…..

I often find that the sensation of jelqing changes as the skin stretches and when very loose it sometimes feels a little rumpled. Doesn’t sound like anthing to worry about. If its simply skin it will not be noticable in a couple of days probably. But hey I don’t hang so I don’t know how much extra skin you guys have floating around :)

I would further describe it as a “tingling” inside the head/glans. It doesn’t hurt, but it feels weird.

And, if I shake my dick or move it from side to side, it is more noticeable.

Could be really minor nerve sensitivity. Even light jelqing is all about pressure increases and it seems reasonable to expect that the nerve endings are going to get jangled about a bit, if you hit the wrong bit of the penis at the wrong angle. I’ve had similar sensitivities on my fingers, and they can last for a while before subsiding.

Does it feel like your fingers do after typing a lot? That kind of tingle? Thats kind of ok but its when you push it you end up with a semi-permanent condition.

Or it could be an indication of a lack of circulation. Do your glans get really cold?

I figured it was minor nerve sensitivity or the related. Yes, my glans is cold but it has always been a few degrees cooler than my shaft.

I’ve never had it before. It only occurred within the last few days. I’ve laid off hanging until Monday.

The only thing I can think of, is like I said before, I pinched some top shaft skin between the hanger for a set s few days ago. But, it was like a 1/2-3/4 to an inch behind the circ scar. It didn’t hurt, but it freaked me out….Do you think this attributed to it? Once again, the “symptoms” are when I jelq or masturbate on the outward stroke it creates a tingle that starts mid-shaft and ends up in the glans. And I don’t feel it on the skin, I feel it on the “Inside” of penis.

Why would a lack of circulation affect the nerves?

So, what else do you think, what do you suggest?

How long should I lay off?

Its possible that the pinch caught a nerve but you’d expect it to have hurt a little at the time. More likely the pinch got you looking for problems and you found one. Its easy to ignore little bits of pain until something causes you to look closely.

I know you say you feel it on the inside but pain can be hard to locate in depth terms and nerves tend to be near the surface.

A slight lack of circulation shouldn’t effect the nerves. Its just that its a good indicator of damage. Long term lack of blood causes cell death though, which is why smokers sometimes lose a leg or two later in life :) Oh and you can get pins and needles but I’ve never experienced this in my penis.

Personaly I wouldn’t bother to lay off unless it becomes painful, but its a personal choice. Laying off could allow a nerve to calm, if indeed it is a nerve, and carrying on regardless could agravate the problem. Generaly people talk about taking a week off and then seeing how it feels. Often warm wraps can help the healing process but whether that applies to nerves I don’t know.

I agree Memento. When I saw that I had pinched the skin, I became “freaked out”. But, I had no pain whatsoever, or else I would have noticed/felt it during the session. I still have no pain whatsoever. Just a slight tingling feeling that feels like something is “inside” my shaft leading to the head. It just feels weird……I agree “pain” can be heard to locate, but it’s not pain. Once again, I only feel it when lightly jelqing or…..er “massaging” it.

Let me ask you this, if you thought it was a nerve, are you sure it would be painful??

I used pain in error. I know you are talking about a tingle. It sounds like a nerve.

Nerves are weird things, you can disturb them slightly and get a tingle or slice right through them and feel nothing but get a tingle as they repair (I’m not suggesting you try this out on your penis :) ). The question is whether the nerve is reporting damage or whether it is damaged itself. The fact that its tingling and happens during jelqing leads me to think that the pressure during jelqing is forcing against a nerve that is over sensitised. Nerves can become over sensitised from pressure alone. If you check out info on the early stages of RSI you will see what I mean.

PE’ing in any form is about stressing the penis, so its not really suprising that it reacts with little warnings. But the body is great at healing healing itself and I’m sure thats what it will do.

If it becomes pain rather than a tingle then start to worry. And if it becomes constant pain or comes in long continuous blocks worry a lot.

I would wait until the “tingling” goes away. Especially if you can notice it when not exercising. And if you choose to not wait, at least make sure to attach the hanger so as to avoid that particular spot as much as possible.

In the first post you mentioned something loose under the skin, is that still the case??
