Homemade Bib Hanger Dangerous

Homemade Bib Hanger Dangerous

Is it true that the original Bib Hanger is dangerous because it grips around the whole penis? Another question I have about this is didnt Bib try using this hanger too before he decided to post detailed instructions for it? Im just confused about this whole thing because I have the supplies to build a the homemade orignal hanger but I was told that this type of hanger could be dangerous because it grips around the whole penis, but didnt Bib try this hanger out before he poster instructions? So how bad could it be?

I think that model of hanger is pretty old, and that it predates the understanding / idea / cautionary advice that pressure against the top and bottom of the penis may cause damage to the dorsal nerve (numbness, possibly permanently).

At any rate, pressure on the dorsal nerve is probably not beneficial, and it is possible to avoid it.So why not avoid it? That is the idea behind the later model hangers by bib and others - they all avoid putting pressure on the top/bottom of the shaft.

Taped onto the dashboard of a car at a junkyard, I once found the following: "Good judgement comes from experience. Experience comes from bad judgement." The car was crashed.

It, especially the modified version, was intended to keep pressure off the nonexistent nerve bundle alleged to be behind the head. That’s the purpose of the V or U shaped cutout in that area.

The homemade Bibs aren’t inherently dangerous. The clamping force is spread over a relatively large area compared to a noose. The head has to support more of the load than a more solid, better-gripping hanger. Max weight of this design is about 10 lbs. because of this.

Personally, I had the same problem with the Wench. It couldn’t get ahold of the internal structures and ended up riding on the head.

By far, I prefer a solid hanger. Production Bibs are good. The TPS hanger may work fine too, though I haven’t tried it. For homemade, Piet has a good design.

Does Bibs modified model grip mainly on the sides avoiding the dorsal vein?

It grips all around. All hangers do to some extent. Ideally, the main clamping force should be applied at the sides, but even with the best hangers the top and bottom are under some compression.

The main thing to avoid is applying a lot of force over a small area on the top side. Noose hanger = bad. Beyond that, you want a hanger capable of grabbing the internal structures, not just riding down and resting on the head.
