Homemade Fulcrum

About a month ago, I remembered some advice from Monty. He said that hanging with a fulcrum (while not for beginners) leverages and focuses the hanging force, and can help in breaking through a plateau and keep gaining consistently.

So I thought I’d give that a try. But when I looked through the forum, I didn’t find much to describe how to make a decent fulcrum. And the advice I did see (use a 3/4” dowel) was very uncomfortable and didn’t work very well for me. So I experimented around a bit, and came up with a couple of workable variations that are cheap (under $10), effective, and comfortable. This uses 1/2” schedule 40 PVC pipe, standard PVC fittings, and some pipe insulation. It gives you a padded cradle to hold your penis and I think it works pretty well.

The pics below show the parts you need, how they go together, and what they look like when complete. You need to buy (prices are approximate):

4 ft 1/2” PVC schedule 40 pipe ($2.00)
2 45 degree fittings ($2.00)
3 90 degree fittings ($1.80)
90 degree 3/4” pipe insulation elbow (or a short piece of 3/4” pipe insulation) ($2.00)

you don’t need any glue. Cut 4 two inch pieces off the pipe, and cut the rest of the pipe in half. Sand down the ends to make it look nicer, then assemble as shown. Push the parts together tightly.

You need to be seated to use the fulcrum. If you hang straight down or BTC, put the long pieces over your legs and your penis over the padded cradle. If you hang straight out or up, put the long pieces under your legs and your penis under the padded cradle. After putting the fulcrum in one place for awhile, you can move it to a different place on your penis to focus the force on different places along the shaft. It works with monkeybar’s vac hanger or the bib, and I think it would work with other hangers as well.

After no progress for a few months, I’ve gained 1/8” this month with the fulcrum. It works for me!

Thank you for sharing your design. I’m not up to fulcrums yet but I’m keeping this in my back pocket for later.

I need to make a fulcrum also, does it have to have a dip in it?

I wanted to put the stress on the septum, that tough “cord” that runs along the top side of the penis. Without the dip, I found that my penis rolled out of the proper position, creating all sorts of problems. And without the padding, it was very uncomfortable.

Oh okay. It makes sense now when I see the arch up. Just seemed extreme, but this is the best way to attack the steel cord. Thanks a lot for your feedback.
