Maintenance sets?

Maintenance sets?

What do you define as maintenance sets?

This is a topic that seems to be covered very little or glossed over in the PE forums. Was wondering what you would consider maintenance sets?

Is one or two sets sufficient?

Lets say you have achieved what seems to be max lig stretch and you are considering changing to tunica work. Do you do 1-2 sets of maintenance for the ligs and then dedicate the rest of your sets to tunica work?

Or

Lets say you have achieved your goals and just want to keep your gains. Do you just do a few sets a day??

Anybody want to chime in?

It sounds like it is different for everyone. There are reports on here of people losing 3 quarters of an inch by stopping hanging cold turkey and there are guys who do nothing for years and lose very little if everything.

Unfortunately I think it’s one of those things you have to try and monitor as you go to see how you respond

I agree. I only lost about 1/4 inch after taking a break. The good news is I gained it back once I started hanging again. I do think the 1-2 maintenance sets is a day is enough to keep what you gained but to cement the gains you must go about 1/2 inch above your goal. I am looking into a secondary angle so we will see how it works out.

If you are hanging, the ligs will continue being stretched. There is no hanging position that affects only one or the other. If you are doing tunica work, the ligs are still being stretched - just not as much as before - but still enough to count as maintenance for previous gains in another position. It’s the same in reverse - BTC targets ligaments predominantly, but the tunica is still affected.

As I am satisfied of my size ,I decided to do only “maintenance” since April 2020.
I haven’t lost any gain so far. :-)

That is my thinking as well. How many sets per day/week?

Do you think that if you didn´t do the ADS you could get by with the sets?

Well, don’t know about ADS…I am addicted to it now but, I changed and reduced a bit my maintenance since last week.

1- Monday: Clamping (5 minutes x 4) + extender (2 hours)
2- Tuesday: off
3- Wednesday : Jelqing (20 minutes) + extender (2 hours)
4- Thursday: off
5- Friday: Squeeze (20 minutes) + extender (2 hours)
6- Innerwear: Monday to Friday (ADS flaccid support)
7- Weekend: off
