Off days for extending-hanging

Minera - I was putting too much force in my manual routine in the pass and attempted jelq squeezes and ulis with improper grip and got a thrombosed vein which took months to go away.

Bib hanger, you’d probably want the full size, so US$ 130.

Captn’s Wench kit from Monty is $25.

Plus shipping.

You could make your own of either for cheaper if you’re good at making stuff. There’s lots of how-to threads. Bib’s are pretty well designed though, and even if you make your own, you’d probably have to go through many prototypes to get something as nice as what you get out of the box from him. They’re worth the price IMO.

Sorry if I sound harsh, but it sounds like you learned nothing from that. You want to do manuals+hanging with no rest days so you’ll have back your injury faster? BTW, hanging requires a lot of of consistency and sacrifice.

There were other important factors when I injured myself like the lubricant I was using was different (changed form water to silicone which combined with my sweaty palms sometimes is not good for jelqing) and was not sliding up right, so I was getting a very rough jerking motion with the jelq squeezes (I believe this is a big reason for the injury). Anyway, the purpose of my thread was to ask for advice on the rest days and so on. I was not set on doing anything as of yet that’s why I was seeking advice. I only vac-hung 1-2lb weights for 1 or 2 sets a day to see how it felt. Been doing the newbie routine for almost 5 months and had no real gains, added wearing the extender for about 3 weeks and have seen flaccid gains and minor erect gains (which I am actually not sure of), no negative PI’s since wearing the extender, erection quality has gotten better actually.

When all is said and done, the final determiner of negative results from breaks in routine’s lies with your individual health condition.

For some, they heal very quickly, for others not so fast. Everyone is different but one thing is consistent. Everyone’s body will activate a healing process that will repair and restore things it finds damaged or stressed beyond normal conditions. That said, taking breaks, depending on the duration of those breaks, will allow the body to fix what it sees as a problem. The 4 phases of the typical healing process of the body will, upon completion, return all structures to original condition except perhaps stronger. Now if you are a slow healer then a one day break in your routine likely wont have an adverse affect but if continued for a period long enough for a healing cycle to complete then your going to experience difficulty continuing with gains. This is just common sense and is dictated by the body.
