I haven’t experienced sphincter soreness after hanging. However I often hear people talk about base soreness, which I also never have. My soreness is almost entirely in the shaft.

Are you clenching your sphincter while hanging? Is your body tense while hanging?

I’m sitting on the edge of my chair cause it’s the only way to hang straight. It’s not really a comfortable sitting position but I don’t know better way of sitting. It’s at least a factor but after switching to vac hanging it became better.

Is base or general soreness noticeable if you do cold manual stretch? I tried to cold pull my unit a little and it kinda hurt at the base. Like tearing something apart. After warming up, during hanging I don’t have this feeling.

I rarely do manual stretches unless it’s before something else like hanging or pumping, but never really an exercise in itself.

In my experience hanging definitely affects the entire lower region - from your penis to your anus. But I’ve never felt soreness in my anus. It would make sense to me that you feel soreness there because you’re clenching that area.

Clenching in general would be like “fighting” the weights instead of allowing gravity to pull down. Try breathing exercises while you hang and focused meditation on that area to ensure that you’re not creating tension.

A couple of weeks into hanging, want to clarify if what I’m feeling is normal/not unheard of. I’m only at 3 lbs, and I don’t think I’ve been hanging long enough to reach fatigue yet. I’m getting a good stretch feeling right at the base of the shaft and at the sides of my pubic area. I’ve heard that fatigue can present itself as almost in the abdomen, but it seems the location is a bit lower for me. Normal? Thanks

Yes I get that, nothing to do with the sitting position, it’s for me related to the pull from the weights. Affects the BC muscle as well.
