What Does Fatigue Feel Like to You?

The title says it all. I have been searching around for a good definition of fatigue for a while as the term is used constantly when talking about hanging, but it usually amounts to something like “when you feel like you need to go down in weight.” This definition is so subjective and vacuous that I thought maybe we could contribute our own experiences with fatigue to see if we could generate a more descriptive definition, or at least see how members here are interpreting the term.

So to me fatigue is something I would relate to tissue being damaged or being put into a state of lower integrity by external forces. Like when metal supports on a bridge become “fatigued” and must be replaced before they fail. With my hanging I more closely associate this with feeling sore the next day. My ligs are always sore, constantly - I consider this fatigue.

I think maybe when people generally refer to fatigue in relationship to hanging, they are actually talking about accumulating discomfort through a stretch, “feeling” the stretch. Correct me if I’m wrong, but this is what it feels like to me. So when this feeling starts to get intense with me it feels like my ligs have expanded to their maximum length, like stretching a rubber band to the point where it is completely taut and feels more like a rope than a rubber band. This feeling is uncomfortable, producing a dull ache. But I never reduce weight, I just get to my break, take a rest, and do it again. It happens sooner the next time, but I just deal with it.

What do you think, and what is fatigue to you?

Dull ache sounds close. Not a sharp feeling at all.
However, if I ride it to much I get this feeling of I need to stop now. Usually I sit up (changing my hanging angle) or drop a few pounds and that feeling goes away.

I also notice the following day a warm deep soreness that follows a good session of dull ache.

Interesting. I have never experienced fatigue from stretching. Maybe a little while doing vstretch. Have you?

Can anybody gain without feeling that sensation from hanging?


When conguering a golddigger you need a large bank account, when conquering a dickdigger you need a large tool. When conquering a woman you need a minimum of three things: money, class and yes: dick size. Good news are, you can actually improve in all these three aspects.

BH, when you experience this feeling and “ride” as they say, do you drop weight, or just in that situation you described?

Quim, my ligs are constantly sore and when I stretch before hanging I do this stretch that is BTC with a wrist twist - it is very intense - so I do feel the ache when I do that one. But if I was not constantly sore in my ligs from hanging, I don’t think I would.

I probably try to stay at the weight a little longer than I should. When I drop the weight I am at a point that I feel I can’t hang anymore. Once the weight is dropped I feel much better.

I am probably a little to aggressive in staying at the weight without dropping.

That sounds like exactly what I do. I just stick it out with the same weight. This is NOT what you hear about the vets doing, that is why I was wondering if what I am experiencing would be considered “fatigue.”

Im still trying to figure this out. Moved up to 12.5lbs and still havent felt what I think would be fatigue but discomfort at the glans. I ferl like it was pullig away from the dome a little and it was a bit red after i removed. Will continue to experiment.

That sounds like an attachment or wrapping error to me…

Fatigue to me feels like soreness whenever you try and slightly stretch your junk. Nothing painful but similar to the soreness from a good weight lifting session. I like to get that feeling and for days after not hanf but go into my ADS device. I think thats been called riding the fatigue before.

Side note I havent been able to hang as much lately as Id like twice a week for an hour or so.

Clock watching is my #1 indicator.

Mind you, not due to pain caused by wrap/hanger pinching or skin stretch but because I can’t wait to get this load off and lower the weight. Basically it’s a “relief indicator” screaming Uncle due to too much weight for too long.

The byproduct results in sore ligs that (currently) are so sore that I can go to the bathroom and before I take a leak, I will pull straight out or down, and man the ligs are very tender. They relax as I continue to pull but, initially, wow!

I only got this one time with manual stretching and that was in my tunica but it went away and never came back after the first week. Hanging is the cat’s meow for stretching.

I only do standing straight down and that gets old after the 3rd set, standing motionless for 60 minutes. I just wish I could get the BTC stretch down. The skin stretch is brutal with anything over 5 lbs…do I need to just stick with the 5 lbs for a month or so until the skin adjusts? Like adding a set of BTC at the end of my regular routine every time?

The fatigue causes clock watching and a desire to lower the weight, I understand this, but what does it feel like to you, specifically?

Also, the skin stretch gets better as long as your wrapping and attachment is sound and consistent. Just takes time. 1. I don’t know if I am correct or not but I think this is EXACTLY where we need to be. Maybe not year round because of some form of overtraining (???? in the PE world) but definitely for weeks at a time 4 to 6 times per year. I think that as our training/growth becomes stagnant and we plateau, an “extreme week” of several hours must take place in order to get us back into that zone.

2. If 2 pieces of fried chicken is good then 4 is even better. By the 10th piece I’m done and sick of it. The weight has a similar psychological effect…you know what it felt like last session so you KNOW how heavy this particular weight is to you. Once you’ve gotten that max set done (or close to it) you want it off of you because it is taxing all of your tissues to the max.

All the veins, nerves, skin, the pressure in your head (you can squeeze as much as you want in the wrap process but heavy weight creates a downward pressure to the end of whatever it is hanging from - in this case your head) are begging for relief. You feel little spikes of pain here and there and I assume those are nerves or veins or some internal tissue getting a micro tear. The lower weight doesn’t have any of these feelings or effects.

3. SD becomes tedious/monotonous/taxing by the third set. How long does it take for the skin to stretch? And, does it respond to lower weight like the 5 lbs I mentioned in my last post? I think that is my main problem…patience and not knowing if it is the problem or not.

Okay, here’s what I’m talking about.

I am hanging as I type so this is live and happening. All sets are hanging straight down.

My last set was with 15 lbs. The weight was manageable and tolerable. Now I’ve added 2.5 lbs for this set making it 17.5 lbs and it feels like I’ve got a refrigerator hanging from my cock.

Now could this be from just the amount of weight? Or the percentage of weight pounds increased? Or is it that my wrap for this set is just a little different or my hanger has to be somewhat tighter for the additional weight?

I think all those come into play and yet, over time, my body will adjust to to the increased weight and will require even more weight/sets. The tissues, all of them, have adapted and grown on some microscopic level which we call GETTING A BIGGER COCK baby!!!

But for now, I can’t wait to be done with this heavy stinkin set and get to a lower weight. I am maxed out…for now.

Elvis, good description of your fatigue feeling.

5 lbs should cause a good deal of skin stretch. The skin is not nearly as strong as connective tissue, and it deforms much more easily, both short term and permanently.

So far it sounds like tightness in the tissue is part of it, and a stretch that is producing so much discomfort that it is becoming hard to tolerate. Anyone agree or disagree? Have more to add?

I agree with the ligs part. I seem to have plenty of skin so that part I dont notice as much. I took off this week from hanging and did a little clamping and loved it. May keep mixing the two. My PIs from hanging were starting to get negative no pain but slight turtling. Switching to clamps this week pumped back up my PIs.
