Acrylic tubing

I have a 2” ID thickwall clyinder and pump that I bought from a UK site and wanted to buy a 1.75” ID thickwall cylinder but 2” is the smallest they sell.

So I thought I would like to try and make one myself.

Does anyone know where I can buy a small amount (9”) of 1.75” ID thickwall acrylic tubing from In the UK, online preferably?

I am in the UK and was hoping there was a shop similar to McMasters that I see a lot of you guys in the US use.

I have found lots of Acrylic tubing manufacturers by using google but none that sell small amounts.

Hmm… plastics in the phone book or maybe arts and crafts stores, is about all I can think of. Maybe look under tubing and acrylic, too, just to cover all the common synonyms. :)

If you can find a local manufacturer but they only sell in huge quantities, you might be able to call them up and talk to a salesman or a rep, explain your situation to them and maybe they can give you a name of someone that they sell to in your area, who might sell you a smaller quantity. Tell them you are building pencil holders for Christmas gifts, lol. Sometimes they will help you if you are sincere, it’s just more business for them, too.

Failing that, you might just have to use a mail order source or whatever you can find.

Do some shopping in the house ware stores. I made my first cylinder from a drinking plastic glass. 1-3/4 diameter. Lots to choose from
