Alternative Sun Tea Jar

Common complaints with the sun tea jar are that it is glass, weighs a ton when filled with water, and the gallon size is just too big. An alternative would be to buy an acrylic spigot jar which is available in a 2 1/2 quart size from companies such as: http://www.kitchenetc.com. Interesting shape, acrylic, comfortable size, and currently available for $5.00 + shipping. You may not lke the pattern but the price is right.

I found a similar jar at Walgreens some months ago, and the acrylic is really nice.

Got to the web site and enter a search for acrylic spigot jar. The SKU number is 832048.

I bought a glass and what I call a molded plastic STJ at Wal-Mart for ~$4.88 and $2.88 respectively.

Which is probably most expensive item for making STJ…$30….but it does fit perfectly. Now I just have to pick up hardware at Ace Hardware for taking spigot out of STJ and converting to a connector..

That pumping dick and nuts in a container….gains were faster if your dick and nuts were not touching inner walls.

Hi, I realize it’s been a while since this post has been made but I’m trying to find either of those acrylic jars you’re mentioning. I wasn’t able to find it on kitchenetc.com. Do you know the manufacturer or how I can find this jar? Or the one at Walgreen’s. Did an online search but maybe it’s seasonal. Any help otherwise for finding a 2 quart size acrylic jar with a spigot would be very appreciated. Thanks,

A gallon of water weighs about nine pounds plus what the jar weighs, so you are looking at something that weighs about ten pounds all together.
