Anybody know of a 1.875" cylinder?

I would like to find a cylinder that is 1.875” in diameter at the opening, but I’ve looked at six different manufacturers, and none offer anything but the standard 1/4” increments, at least not on their websites.

One thing that’s confusing is that it looks like some tubes have an opening that’s smaller than the rest of the tube, and I can’t tell what the nominal size actually refers to in those cases.

If there is no 1.875”, what would be the best way to size down the opening of a 2” tube? I don’t care if the body is big - this would be only for girth anyway.

I don’t know of any, but I do know if you go to a plastics shop they can sell you a clear plexi tube in that size. You could have them cut it at the length you want and they could seal one end. Or you could cut it yourself and seal the top with a pvc cap. I have had a plastic shop make me a number of non-pe related things and usually they are not too expensive and do wonderful work. It’s all I can think of…

Go to Petsmart or similar store. Get an aquarium siphon tube. 2” OD, 1 7/8” (1.875”) ID by about 10” long. Costs about $7-$8. Needs the base modified a little, but there are several solutions posted in this forum. I glued a slice of 2” schedule 40 PVC pipe around the base and smoothed the edges.

I seem to remember VaccuTech in San Franscisco would custom make a tube. I got a 2.5” one from them years ago. If you get their “beginning” tube, with a flanged lip around the opening, a 2” should be able to work for you as the flange will keep you fairly tightly sealed.
