I’ve been going for girth only for quite some time now, without any results. After lots of reading here, and some self-analysis, I decided that my problem was most likely over-working. I decided to take a month off.
So here I am, a little over one month later. During my hiatus I had plenty more time to think about how I wanted to start back up. I thought quite a bit about how the only girth I’ve gained in my PE “career” was while I was going for length only. During that time, I was mostly hanging, but for 8-12 weeks at one point I did include some pumping after every hanging session. Since I didn’t keep track of girth measurements during my length phase, it’s hard to know for sure… but I’m believing now that the .25” girth I gained *somewhere* along the line must have come mostly from pumping (the gain is at the end of the shaft, right behind the head… an area that I don’t think could gain that much from hanging).
If true, this theory also fits into the “less might be more” theory I’ve been adopting: I’ve made no gains after months of high-intensity jelq/squeezes, but gained .25” from only 2-3 months of much lower intensity pumping.

After taking a week to gradually re-acquaint myself with PE, this how I’ve started:

2 days on/1 day off schedule, adhered to as strictly as possible. All workouts will include thorough warm-ups. All pumping will be done at <5 hg. Jelq reps are strong, 4-5 seconds each, with a kegel between reps. (I also kegel a little while pumping)

Week 1: 5 min. pump / 50 jelq / 5 min. pump / 50 jelq / 5 min. pump / 50 jelq / 5 min. pump / 50 jelq.

Week 2: Add 1 min. to each pump set

Week 3: Add 5 to each jelq set

Continuing on like this, adding either minimal amounts of repetitions or sets every week over the next several months. I’ll cap my pump set time at 8 minutes… once I get there, I’ll start adding sets.
After every workout I’ve also decided to start wearing a cock ring to maintain engorgement until I go to bed (usually 6-7 hours).

During my month-long PE hiatus, I’ve also quit smoking (12 days without a cigarette and counting), started working out again, and am trying to eat healthier. I don’t know how much this will impact PE, but it can’t hurt.

Maybe shorten your jelk strokes in time - like half that time. 2 seconds each. Jelks are good for both length and girth. They really move the blood around. You should be semi-hard; pliable enough still that you can bend your cock without stressing the tissue. It should feel pretty flexible in your hand but engorged.

Less is more. You’ll have to do less time out to allow damage to repair and make more gain in the long run.

Try drinking more water a glass/2 hours up to 8-10/day—I know all of the jokes, cuts, and jabs but humans are a large percent water. You’ve got to be careful and don’t overdo flushing the electrolites from your nurishment but will rid of impurities (left over build of tar in lungs from smoking) and free-radicals in blood from exercise. Face will clear up, feel better, feel better about yourself, attract more girls, go out more, more sex amd a happier life due to water—even the world is 70% water—Take care of the water—make it a lifequest—Steve

Thanks Steve, I’ll do that. I’ve already started drinking more water… since I’m no longer drinking coke/pepsi, I’ve replaced 3-4 of those every day with water.

Well, I’m nearing the end of my 2nd week. So far the only problem I’ve been having is suppressing my desire to do more! The instant gratification of the massively swollen unit dangling between my legs, albeit temporary, is hard to resist. I’ve been constantly reminding myself that overdoing it has done nothing for me in the past, and of the logic behind my current, slowly building routine.

Update:

I’m on day 2 of my 4th week… and I’m beginning to think that the schedule I’ve set up for myself might still be too much too soon. At the beginning, I thought that adding 4 min. pump & 20 jelq strokes to each workout each week seemed pretty minor.. but I guess it makes more of a difference than I thought it would.

Over the last couple of weeks, I’ve noticed some discomfort in my cock over the 24 - 48 hr. span between workouts. Not enough to cause me any worry… not pain, just enough discomfort to continually remind me that it was there.

Yesterday was my first day of week 4. My workout was 8 min pump/ 65 jelq strokes X 4 sets. When I finished my workout, I noticed immediately that something was different… my cock was much more swollen than previous weeks. Not as big as my “overworking days” from months ago, but I still thought it was maybe too big too soon. As the hours passed after my workout, and my dick slowly contracted, it took on a weird “michelin man” look. The swelling at the end of the shaft, just behind the head remained for much longer than the rest of the shaft. The underside also remained swollen for longer than the topside, causing the end of the shaft to curve upward and crease. A very strange, ugly look which I also remember from my “overworking days”.

The swelling had subsided by 24 hrs. later. I had already at that point decided that I needed to cut back for the time being. Even though I thought I should probably take a couple days off before continuing, I decided to do a brief workout anyway. I cut back to 7 min. pump, with 30 jelq strokes between pump sets. After 2 1/2 sets, I felt a little more discomfort than I felt comfortable with, so I decided to stop there. Once again… I wouldn’t call it pain, just a little more discomfort than felt right.

Sigh.

I’m not yet sure how I plan to continue from here. I’m thinking about dropping the jelqing entirely for a couple of weeks… continuing to pump on the same schedule, then slowly start adding jelqing once I feel like I’m ready.
