Bathmate Sizes Guide

12

It’s nice to have a size guide, but the problems I’ve had with the Bathmate have taught me that it would’ve been far more valuable to see a shapes guide before I bought the thing, with at least these two pieces of advice:

1. Since the pumping mechanics of the Bathmate require it to be pressed more or less perpendicularly against the body, it’s only going to work optimally for people with erection angles close to 90 degrees relative to the abdomen, which is not exactly a typical angle (the average is around 70 degrees, with half the population having erections closer to their abdomens than that). If you’re in the 33% of the population that has erections at angles under 60 degrees you may find that the Bathmate doesn’t fit well around the base of your penis (too much pressure on the shaft, hard to get a good seal) and that your glans presses too hard against the inner wall of the tube and this prevents your penis from extending as much as it could into the length of the tube.
-> The producer should state this clearly in the product presentations and, ideally, should design another variant of the device that works better for upward-pointing penises.

2. If you have a very tight scrotum you may find it very hard to get your testicles and connecting tubes far enough out of the way that you won’t injure yourself with the Bathmate (see Sore balls after pumping. and similar topics). In this case it might be better to go with an air pump or other PE methods entirely.
-> The producer should acknowledge this possibility in the product presentations rather than simply advising the user to pull their testicles out of the way. Not everyone can pull whatever they want however far they want. As for a tweak in the product itself that might work around this problem, the only thing I can think of is to include a rubber sleeve for those who need it and maybe support and describe an alternative pumping mechanism where the Bathmate isn’t pressed against the body but rather held with your other hand at the base while the main hand presses it down to expel water and increase pressure.

BPEL = 4.9", MSEG = 4.6" [June 2014]

BPEL = BRB, MSEG = 4.8" [August 2014]

Actually, I just realized there is an immediate workaround for the erection angle problem: use the Bathmate with the slant in its opening facing upward rather than downward - the pressure distribution along the sealing edge will be the same (you will still have the same slant between the side pressed against your abdomen and the side pressed against your scrotum and lower shaft) but the tube will be more in line with your erection. Damn, I have to try this next time.

I have the x40 and it seems massive. I kind of wish I went with the x30

Start/Current: BPFSL - 8"/9", BPEL - 7.5"/8.25", NBPEL - 7"/7.75", MSEG - 5.5"/6"

All time goal: 9.5"x6.5"

If you were from Europe we could switch plus extra cash for you.

I’ve got x30 and it looks its too small for me(girth).

Yea not from europe. Whats your girth? Thats nuts. No pun intended.

Well I didn’t measure now but was close to 5.5.

Can you make photo of Technical specification from book attached to your x40?

What does it mean no pun intended ? :)

Here is a pretty good size guide:

I found this thread after posting in another, but it still doesn’t seem to clear up the confusing measurements and recommended sizes from BM. Is the length measurement written on the unit taken compressed or uncompressed? I think that answer alone would clear up some of this.

6.25" BPEL, 5.5" NBPEL, 5.5" EG.

Goal: 7" NBPEL, 6" EG

Update to my prior post. Bought an X30 and X20 to compare and provide measurements. X30 was shipped first, so here it is:

Uncompressed interior length - 9.75”
Compressed interior length - 8.5”

When compressed, the 7” mark on the sticker is actually closer to 7.25”. This seems to be because the comfort pad adds about .25”. When the pad is removed, the 7” mark is true. Compressing the gaiter takes off about 1.25”.

The base opening diameter with comfort pad is just over 2”, maybe 2 1/16”.

As you can see, even though the sticker ends at 7”, there is still about 1.5” of length remaining in the cylinder even when fully compressed. I think this is more than enough for the “average” person, probably too much.

When the X20 arrives I will post those measurements. I suspect the 5.5” max BPEL recommendation from Bathmate is inaccurate

X20

8.5” interior length uncompressed
7.25” compressed
Like the x30, compressing the gaiter takes off about 1.25”

The 6” mark is just under the 6.25” mark when fully compressed. Like the X30, the comfort pad adds about 0.25” to the measurement sticker

While the X30 had an opening diameter just over 2”, the X20 is just under, maybe 1-15/16” or 1-7/8”

The 6” mark on the X20 is right at the end of the sticker, while the 7” mark on the X30 is about 0.25” under.
