Bathmate Users -- how do you manage pressure?

It does not appear to me that you are using a vacuum pressure gauge in your pump system.

If this is accurate, then I have several safety concerns with your process.

From a procedure perspective, we strongly recommend that everyone pumping has a gauge in their system. The gauge is the only way to be consistent in your pumping program. We commonly describe pump programs as time and vacuum pressure, often -3inHg or -5inHg.

From a safety perspective monitoring your PI’s is critical for risk reduction and preventing injuries. One PI is how your penis is responding to your PE activities. A common response to over work or over stressing the penis is for it to “turtle up”, or reduce in size. If your pump program is to increase vac pressure until you reach a designated penis length when your penis is turtling, then more vac pressure is required to do so.

Too high vac pressure can result in edema and ‘red spots’ and if those are ignored and you continue under pressure can result in fluid blisters and bleeding. These last two can take weeks to recover from. Other injuries can also result from this poor practice. Can you say “ruptured blood vessels”?

Sounds like you’re saying the bathmate is an unsafe product then because there is no gauge. I do use the length marks on the bathmate as my gauge however I have not experienced any issues besides some minor discoloration so I believe the pressure levels are fine. I wish bathmate had a gauge but it doesn’t. If I noticed something alarming I would definitely stop to heal. Having a bigger penis isn’t worth breaking it in the process. As stated before this is my only form of PE so it’s unlikely I could be overworking or overtraining it from only 15 mins of pumping per day. Also I’ve built up to the pressure levels that I’m currently using. I didn’t just get the product the first day and mindlessly pump my dick up to its bone pressed erect length mark on the bathmate. I appreciate the time you took to respond though, and it’s not falling on deaf ears.

The most important safety tool is the one between your ears. Maintain awareness of what your dick is signaling to you and you’ll be ok.

Initial: 7” BPEL; 6” NBPEL; 5.25” - 5.5” MEG

Current: 7-7/8” BPEL; 7-3/8” NBPEL; 8.5” BPFSL; 6.5” MEG; 6”x5” Flaccid.

Goal: Improved/consistent EQ while managing ED. Secondary: maintain current stats.

The fact of the matter is the bathmate can be dangerous. The pressure on it can go upwards of 14hg. That’s a lot by pumping standards. Consider for a moment most of us keep the pressure on an air pump between 3hg and 7hg. That’s a big difference in pressure. But we need to keep in mind any PE can be dangerous if done too rigorous and too often. Which several on this thread are doing.

Is the bathmate a good product? Sure, it definitely has its place. But it’s way overpriced. keep in mind their affiliates get a 40% kickback.

Oh my god 14hg, without a gauge?! I can’t even break 10hg for 3 seconds without the feeling that my cock will fully explode, it so intense so extreme on me. Really anything over 5hg feels like it’s “too much” for my penis and I stay specifically at 3hg or 3.5hg if I can. 4hg and over I get spots and edema. I have a friend that uses the Bathmate and complains about spots and blisters and bruises and I tell him over and over please get a pump with a gauge so you can monitor! I treat pumping like a science experiment and I record observations with my clock and pump gauge, and fine tune my session into one that is perfect for me. I just can’t imagine pumping without a gauge, something about seeing the number and connecting it to the feeling, the look and action on my penis while in the cylinder forces me to be more mindful about the health and safety of my penis. Thanks for your note on the Bathmate and the max pressure on it: everyone should note it and be mindful if they use one.

There is a lot of appeal for me because:

— it is discrete
— it is an all-in-one solution for water pumping

What we can’t figure out is how you manage pressure with it.

Many of the water pumping vets who use "standard" pumps say that it is really important to watch your pressure when you water pump as it is easy to go too high.

So how do you bathmate guys deal with this, as it does not appear the bathmate has a gauge?

The Bathmate is a toy. I’ve used one for a year. I’ve found that it does not help with eq at all because you cannot work your pressure. I’d get a vacuum pump and put it in the trash. You will never achieve big gains with it. Vacuum pump. Hang clamp. kegels and jelg. You will see amazing gains.
