Can't connect tube with pump

Here’s the deal…I went to Harbor Freight Tools and purchased the pump for $20 and then I went to Petsmart and bought a gravel cleaner tube (2” x 10”) for $8. The dilemma I’m facing is that the tubing that comes with the tube is too wide to fit on the the pump and the black tube that comes with the pump (to hold brake fluid)

is too skinny to fit on the endcap of the tube. What do I need to do to connect the tube to the pump? Yes, I’ve spent considerable time searching old threads, but can’t seem to find what I’m looking for. Please help.

Go to the hard ware store with each tube. Ask the nice people there for help and say you need an air tight fitting that will join them. They should be able to to hoke you up.

OR you can do it my way and take the too skinny tube and wrap paper around it until it is wider enough to fit the grave tube, and then put glue around it. What you are basically doing is creating a spacer out of paper and using glue to seal everything.

I have the 2inch gravel tube and I think that it is too big for length gains for my 5.2 girth, so now I’m in the market for a much smaller tube.

I don’t know if I’d feel comfortable taking a a tube and pump into a hardware store???

EJ: Take ONLY the hoses that are on the pump and the one for the gravel tube to the hardware. Or you can measure the Inside diameter of the hose yourself and find the right reducer. It will be a brass fitting hanging on the wall at Lowe’s. These reducers will couple the two hoses.

Home Depot or Lowes carries conical nipples or reducers that can connect different diameter tubing. MC
