Do pump gains hide real gains?

Hi all!

Glad to see this pump is providing some nice, solid increase after about 15 minutes.
But I’m also a little concerned to measure this week (since starting in November) since I don’t know if this would be an accurate way to gauge progress in girth next to Jelqing. I feel like maybe there hasn’t been any increase with Jelqing, but that’s what measuring is for, though, right?
If I feel like I’m only seeing gains in pumping, should I stop doing it and focus on traditional exercises, or does it mean I found an answer to a problem of no gains? (If this makes sense?)

No need to fix something that isn’t broken. If that pump works for ya then do it

I get more immediate results with pumping as far as girth and a little length. As for jelqs it helps in different ways. It helps with EQ and is a great all around PE excercise. I’ll most likely always incorporate jelqs into my PE routine.

Bump this. I usually measure during the first workout after a 2-4 day break, for official logs, that is.

2016-08-26: 6 1/8" x 5 ... 2017-02-28: 6 3/4" x 5... 2017-07-08: 6 7/8" x 5 1/8"

Pumping does give you some temporary gains due to fluid build up, but that dissipates quickly.

48 hours should be enough time to recover and see if there has been tissue growth.

I have three tubes. One is 1 1/8” wide, one is 2” wide and the other is so wide I’ll never pack it.

Since I’ve been using the 2” tube regularly, I’m finding I can’t reach into the narrower one completely, which sort of sucks as I was using it for length, and can only get about 80% of the way in without pain.

I must have got thicker somehow because I get jammed before I can stretch out in the narrow one now.
