Does Using Lube For Pumping Help Anything?

Does Using Lube For Pumping Help Anything?

I’ve been pumping for 6 months without any lube and made some good gains without any lube. Today I used vaseline on the base of the tube and my shaft and I notice less pain from the base of the pump or heat. Is there any additional benefit to using lube while pumping? Does it help slide the shaft up the tube? Does it help with suction?

Yup. Next try hydropumping, game changer.

Start (8/30/21): 6.5"BPEL X 5.25" MSEG

Now (12/5/22): 8.75" BPEL X 5.75" MSEG

Goal 9.5"BPEL X 7" MSEG My Journey

I always use lube. My experience:
Helps generate a better base seal. (Which helps with suction by reducing leaks).
Reduces ball burn.
A lubed shaft expands/stretches easier.
Helps to reduce friction between tube and shaft when making contact.
Probably a couple more positives I’ll remember tomorrow.

I’ve tried hydropumping a few times; didnt see much benefit. Every guy is different though. If you’ve never tried it, may be worth the effort for a test run.

Initial: 7” BPEL; 6” NBPEL; 5.25” - 5.5” MEG

Current: 7-7/8” BPEL; 7-3/8” NBPEL; 8.5” BPFSL; 6.5” MEG; 6”x5” Flaccid.

Goal: Improved/consistent EQ while managing ED. Secondary: maintain current stats.

After getting done pumping with lube. There are major things I noticed. It was definitely more comfortable to pump with and getting a seal was easier. The drawback was that I had more of my scrotum sucked in and I had more fluid concentrated on part of my balls and upper shaft. I might lube my shaft in the future, but for now I think I’ll stick to dry pumping.

I always use either vaseline or coconut oil before and during. Benefits:

- better base seal
- better suction with no leaks
- can tolerate more pressure as the skin stretches better
- more stretch = better gains

Try for yourself different setups. I had kind of love/hate relationship with hydropumping for first few weeks. After alot of trial/error I now have setup everything that I love to do it and always look forward to do so.
When I ready in other threads people do stuff that is uncomfortable or even painful for them, I know the dedication is not going to last them.

Start: 6.3"BPEL X 5.1" MSEG

Now: 7.3" BPEL X 5.7" MSEG

Goal: 9.0" BPEL X 6.5" MSEG

Without lube, the skin of my shaft sticks to the plastic of the tube, and it’s extremely painful.

If you had a 5" girth cock in a 7" girth tube it might be different, but I always use a close-fitting tube to minimize the donut effect.

I wish I could use a close-fitting tube. Smaller tubes seem, to me; to give a far better stretch and definitely dials down any donut effect. But. When I was in my early 20s I was asked by a FWB partner to get a Prince Albert piercing. No regrets, absolutely more sensitive down there afterward, but among the several drawbacks: gotta use a cylinder that accommodates not only expansion but a ring.

Aloe vera gel is great if you want to get a good seal without shaving your bush.

There’s a guy on Etsy selling a PA variant you might be interested in. It’s basically an L-shaped rod with a small diameter disc on the short leg. You slide it in the bottom of the PA piercing and the disc sits flush with the bottom of your shaft; there’s no ring. The end is threaded to take a cap or a ball if you want.

The interesting part for me is that it is drilled through from the front through the bent part. You can order any lengths you want so it fits your existing piercing, and you also get your choice of diameter. Ideally, a close fit so urine goes through the drilled center instead of spraying around the perimeter.

It’s not a curved barbell or ring like a normal PA, but it looks like it wouldn’t interfere with pumping, and you could always swap it out for a ring when you wanted. I was considering one for a while, but went with the Tetherspout setup instead.

In previous threads, some forum members mentioned they would remove their PA jewelry while pumping and then reinsert it.

If you’re handy with tools, you could adapt a tube for a PA. Use a felt tip pen to mark where the ring is, cut out a small slot with a Dremel tool, then make a pocket out of a wad of Shapelock plastic. You can keep reheating the Shapelock until you get the exact fit you want. It will also stick pretty well to most plastics used to tubes.

I’ll check out the guy on ebay. Sounds interesting. I’m not handy with tools, I’m just a lame bartender whose only skills are wisecracking and shaking martinis.

As for the taking it out part, that’s impossible for me. I have a 2 gauge titanium ring that took the piercing artist a good 15 minutes to close the gap while another piercing pro held my wiener. I think my next step will be a horseshoe that doesn’t stick out as much but I just haven’t gotten around to it yet.

Thank you for the information.

Took me a while to find the stupid things again. They’re expensive, but apparently made-to-order.

Custom L Shape PA Wand – badassworkroom

There’s a company called Nessus that sells a "prince’s scepter" that’s just a short plug instead of a long wand; they sell one with a flat-bottom screw as well as the usual ball. They sell all over the place; I snagged this picture off their eBay ad. I’ve seen variants - I’m not sure if it was from them in particular - without the ball; just the tube sticking slighly out the urethra.

If you haven’t worn a plug before, even the short ones can get kinked a bit in your underwear or pants if you’re a grower. I am, and when wearing a plug I sometimes have to make an ‘adjustment’ after sitting down. No big deal, but something to be aware of.

Hmm. Looks interesting. But the reason I got the Prince Albert was because it apparently gives more pleasure to the people I fool around with. My FWB partner that begged me to get it done nearly wore me out after it healed and we were at it sometimes 3-4 times a day. Luckily I was young and capable of doing that back then. Looks like these would be good as a space saver inside a pump cylinder, but because of the size of my PA ring I couldn’t swap them out when I wanted.

I do really appreciate you taking the time to look around for these. I’ll give it some thought, but I’m thinking I’m gonna lean toward an open ring, maybe a little flattened out so that it hugs closer.

Oh by the way, Andy. Rings need adjusting all the time so consider yourself lucky that you opted for the tetherspout. Since the piercing 20 years ago I even have to limit what kind of underwear I wear.

Shea butter was a big improvement for me especially when combined with heat.

I suppose do what works best for you.
