Electric pump experience's

When my hanging adventure is finished I want to go into pumping for girth.

The problem with manual pumps is that you must monitor the meter all the time.

An electrical pump must be a lot easier.

I have been very impressed with my new QS-7. You program the workout in, set and forget.

I personally think electric pumps are a waste of money. Buy a MightyVac for thirty bucks and sink the cash you save into a quality cylinder. Hell you can get a quality hand pump, a Redi-Stretcher, and an AutoExtender for what you would pay for a electric pump and probably have enough left over for a set of pe weights.

The only thing you really need in a hand pump is a gauge. For beginners a gauge is a good thing, but most hand pumps have them.

I never even look at the gauge anymore, myself. I know what 10 inhg feels like.

When you think that the only thing required to generate a little vacuum is a tube and some mouth suction, it seems a bit much to shell out $500 to get an electric computerized device. But you could also say the same thing about a VW Bug compared to a BMW, they both get you where you are going, but in different style.

If I was going to buy an electric, I think I would look hard at the QS-7, because it seems to have the state of the art in pressure regulators, but I wish the price was a couple hundred less.

By the way, from what I have read about other electric pumps, they can require as much, if not more monitoring of the pressure gauge compared to a hand pump, because they are not good a holding a steady set pressure. Perhaps this has improved though.

One thing about a hand pump. The pressure is never going to run away unchecked on you.
