First Post about pumping

Hello Everyone,

This is my first post. Just have a question about pumping but could not post it in the pumpers section. I have a pump without a gauge, can someone tell me how I can tell what pressure I would be at. Is there a feeling at certain pressures or a certain number of pumps for say 5Hg.

I would say just go get a pump with a gauge.

That way you know what your doing.

Unless, of course you want to take the chance on hurting yourself.

There are a few post telling you where you can get one for cheap.

Check the harbor freight catalog. I remember seeing a nice pump with gauge for around 20 or 30 dollars. Its looks like the same thing as the LAPD pump.

Signs of using too much pressure would be pain or discomfort, discoloration, red spots, bloating or the donut effect. I guess the best way to describe the right pressure would be one where you begin to see expansion and it feels very comfortable. For most pumps, once the vacuum takes hold, it only requires a few additional pumps to achieve this level.
