More observations (sorry, I’m a social scientist by trade and I make data everywhere!):
I took about 5-6g of citrulline and 2g of arginine before a light weight lifting routine at home. Worked out for about 45 minutes just upper body (trying to get back in shape from a lot of sedentary life all spring and the CoVID is keeping me out of the gym). I took a 40 minute break, ate some light food. Then about 15 minutes later I started my usually 13-16 minute warm up with rice wrap and got into my jelqing before pumping. I had absolutely zero spots at all and I pumped in the tube for 55 minutes (5 min warm up set then 5, 10-minute sets with jelqs and jerking off between each set for a few minutes).
It was about 2 hours after I took the citrulline and arginine. However, I still felt like those aminos were in my system and helped with my pump; cock was a nice thick fatty when I was done. I had the tiniest little bubble of edema below my glans that went away quicker than I had time to check on it.
I think I’m going to keep taking my amino stack at least an hour before my warm up to pumping and PE. I will report here with findings! This is something that is not new to me. I recorded every single pump in great detail since July 2018 (I started keeping track of days in May, then amount of total time in tube later in June, then length of time for each set in tube and what I took before pumping and results in July). I have loads of observations and created quite a lot of data from it all in a spreadsheet. After a whole lot of sessions I found that I did not get spots if I made sure to warm up for more than 10 minutes and did no more than a 5-minute light warm up set in the pump. If I pumped longer than 10 minutes for any set at any time in my routine I wound up with edema. But spots were the outlier and randomly I would get heavy spots after much warm up and care to not get them.
Now that I’m working on citrulline and arginine as factors in penile health under pumping stressors, I’m finding new correlations with my routine and how and WHEN I prep for it. Thanks everyone for sharing their thoughts and experience with this, it is making me think and react!!
