Stormy,
It’s difficult to pin an exact success rate on Ir because I have tried several methods. But in general I have found the following - Not in any order of precedence but ‘as they come’
First it is probably the most convenient method, as it’s a simple switch on, and needs no preparation. It’s constant all the time it is being used, ie I don’t have to stop to refresh hot water or wraps. No clearing up. Easily controllable. Probably a bit more expensive as it has to be purchased separately - unless you use an electric fire or infra red heater. As well as a lamp; I have a 3kW variable heater which I built onto a wooden base and pole which gives me variable height, and length for general sprains etc., from weight training. (I also broke a disc in my back so it’s useful for easing pain there)
My stats I gave when I joiined were not done on the ‘approved’ basis. as being a newbie I just went ahead, and measured down the side of my dick. But presently I’m, pull stretched at 7.25” side measurement from 6.6” when I started. So from that I’ve gained about 3/4”
Erect girth is about 6” a 1” gain
These are largely due to jelqing and pumping with just an IR beam directed on my groin area.
I did use a home-made pump for a while but recently have purchased a proper system witha 2”x9” tube which when my dick is pumped up will fill it girthwise so it comes out of the pump at about 6 1/4. yesterday I received a penis/scrotum tube 3”x9 which it is said my the manufacurers is for increased length as it works more on the ligaments and should give length gains. It certainly feels like my dick is being pulled out of it’s ‘socket’ when in use. Again, the IR lamp is just used as a direct heat source, altbough less direct heat is required as the heat is held in by the tube.
Finally as has been discussed recently on the forum a ‘rundown’ of heat after the session is essential as it does help to keep the flaccid hang longer.
So I much prefer to use IR. particularly after I found that using hot water caused some ED difficulty for a while,
The pumping sorted that out after one session.
I have a feeling and at present I stress it is a feeling that IR could exacerbate the donut effect when pumping as it does tend to swell the penis more than applied heat. So a larger pump may be worth considering here. Perhaps other members could give their opinion on this aspect.
So that’s about it. As mentioned. It is not really a measurable difference, as heat is heat in whatever form but The convenience of IR makes ‘working out’ more productive. more pleasurable, and hence more successful. But it has to be used with caution and attention to it’s dangers of overheating
