Pump Questions

Hey all. Tried a search for my questions and didnt come up with anything soooo.
I have decided to start pumping, and picked up a l.a pump 11length 2width.
Ive done 2 sessions so far. My questions are.
1. I noticed i didnt get very hard(75% i think). I went 10 min in between 3 and 5 hg. Is that normal?
2. The pressure slowly went down as i was in the tube(ex.pump to 5hg and within 5 sec it would start slowly ticking down) Is this normal or a problem on my side?(lossining grip, air loss etc).

Have you shaved the base of your cock?

What lube are you using to seal the tube to your cock?

I took an extra measure to leak proof the fitting that screws into the top of the cylinder. In addition to the “O” ring, wrap the threads of this fitting with plumbers teflon tape and then screw in firmly, but overly tight.

When you say you didn’t get very hard, do you mean when you exited the tube or while you were in there? I normally have to do something to stay erect while in the tube, i.e. looking at porn. Unless I have done that, I rarely exit the tube fully erect.

As far as losing pressure, make sure you shave regularly. I have a LA pump also and find that it makes a pretty good seal. When you go in the tube, make sure you press it firmly against your pelvic bone and give it a quarter turn then a quarter turn back. Also make sure the fittings are tight. I had a problem one time where the fitting at the top of the tube had become just slightly loose and the pressure was ticking off like you described.

And an additional note. I noticed what i guess would be a sign of air in the tube. The inside of cylinder in some spots had something simular to fog in it. Thanks for the response.

Gprent is right about the seal on the top. Care needs to be taken to ensure a leak proof seal without damaging it.

When I first started pumping I also noticed I would lose vacuum. Most of it was due to the fitting at the top.
I still get some vacuum loss now, but that is because I use the heating pad on the tube which expands the air and reduces the vacuum. Once the tube is up to temp the vacuum will hold.

There is also a learning curve with the pump on how to position it correctly to prevent leaks around the base. Don’t worry you will get better at it. Plenty of info around here on that.

Fog is moisture being extracted from your penis due to the vacuum. If you use heat on the tube, the fog is even worse. Nothing to worry about. Shave and use better lube.

Chas123….In the tube. Going by looks, and feel. When i stopped and came out of the pump i had an instant softee. Thanks all for the responses. Im starting to think the learning curve has alot to do with it. But ill take all advice lol

Do not switch from baby oil to Vaseline, as the Vaseline will be extremely difficult to clean.

I would recommend using KY Jelly or the Target or Walmart equivalent brand that sells for about $2.00 per tube. The water based lube seals great and cleans up in a snap with warm water.

Start shaving.

The condensation that forms inside the tube, will not happen if you wrap the tube with an electric heat pad. Plus the electric heat pad will improve your expansion inside the tube. Heat pads are also available at Target for about $15, made by Kaz with a 12”X15” pad.

Being a beginner as well (doing avocet’s ~4hg for 10 mins routine), I love KY… It’s a little hard to wipe off from my hands once lubed up, but air will dry it away and with some water, it washes right off!

Only problem is that it dries faster than I’d like, but so long as I’m lubed going in, I don’t care how I go out. I also get small fog and I lose a little pressure but midway, I’ll pump once more to get an extra .5hg when needed.

I do get the doughnut though, searching on how to fix that right now - jelquing only seems to push it up and around the head..

Are you using some sort of heat source during and after your session??

Ok i got this pumping thing down! Thanks to all who replied to this thread! The prob was i nedded to shave…bad lol Now things are cool and i love pumping! Am going to messure today(no pump in over 24 hrs)
for the first time in months, with no pe so im nervous. If i lost gains its my own fault and i except that.(ill keep it posted in my routine post).

Just one more question…What is the best way to go about taking the pump off? Releasing the air tube,and then pulling off, or just pulling off?

Release the vacuum then pull it off.
