Pump Set Pricing

I’ve been browsing around the pumper’s forum awhile and checking out sites for pumps online, but I find some widely varying prices. I was hoping i could find out from you guys how much I could safely expect to spend on a pump set.

I don’t want to construct a pump from seperately purchased parts, so I’m looking for a good place to buy a 8x1.75 cylinder with any quality gauge. My local adult stores just have the generically sized stuff. From my browsing online, I’ve seen $30 sets and $300 sets. The one’s I was more closely looking at were from places like LA Pump for ~$160. Obviously I don’t want to invest in crappy gear, but do I really have to spend around $150 for a decent set from a reputable penis pump company?

I can build one eventually, but as this is my first foray into pumping, I want to err on the side of caution for my unborns.

Do you pumper’s have a Brand preference for a set? For a cylinder? For the pump/gauge?

Thanks for any help!

My only advice is don’t skimp. You get what you pay for. Get a tube from thickwall.co.uk like Marinera suggested, and buy a brake bleeder pump such as this one Brake Bleeder and Vacuum Pump Kit

In my experience the pump sets are usually over priced and of poor quality compared to a simple pump and tube like the ones above.

Starting (10 / 2006): 5.8~BPEL, 5~BG ----> Current: 7.6 BPEL, 5.6 BG ----> Goal: Pringles Can

Go here:

Buy the MetalVacII With Straightwall Cylinder for $125 and that includes shipping. This package will be for a 9” cylinder but if you must have an 8”, you can go to the cylinder section and find an 8”.

This is the same equipment that is sold at LA Pump. Also the same equipment I use.

The primary goal of PE should be to make your penis as healthy as possible in both form and function. If you do that, increased size will follow.

I just bought my starter kit from LeLuv on Ebay (or their website) for $70 and free shipping. I can tell you the good things: they the free shipping via USPS took 2 days, and the products were very affordable. And the bad things: my cylinder also had a serious flaw. It was a 1.50” cylinder but the opening was only 1.30” so I had to sand off the internal flange to prevent from digging into the base of my shaft. I also bought a 1.75” x 9 tube from them for $24 separately, also free shipping, and that tube was nearly perfect, with a very small internal flange. So that shop has some variation in their product. Maybe all their 1.75”s are like that, but I couldn’t really comment. It seems like you’re rolling the dice going with them on whether or not you get the internal flange. Except for that, the tubes were fine and perfectly functional in every way. I can also tell you that if you had to sand down a flange, it costs less than $1 worth of assorted grit sand paper, and a few hours of manual work to sand off 0.2” diameter. And it could be done much much faster if you have a proper rounded file to take off the edge straight away. In that case it would probably take less than an hour. My finished sanded cylinder is fully functional and smooth, with some obvious cosmetic flaws of sanding marks and cloudiness at the base. You get what you pay for. LAPdist and Thick Wall cost more but you also get a better cylinder. Not necessarily more functional, but made to the advertised specs at least.

The brake bleeder pump with gauge and the connector hose are both universal products. It doesn’t matter what brand you get, but you want one with a gauge, and I personally preferred to get a brass pump with metal handles rather than a plastic one, just because plastic stuff tends to wear down and break faster. Good luck with it.

Fantastic, gentleman! You guys pretty much gave me what I was hoping for.

I think I’ll go with thickwall. a 9” tube is fine, but I’ll email them to find out if they have an 8” they could substitute instead.

I will only mention one thing so you exactly what you are getting. The thickwall system comes with a plastic pump and there has been some history of the handles breaking. I think the pump will be fine as long as you don’t handle it to aggressively and there really is no need to ever pump that way so you should be OK.

They do sell the metal pump that I referred you to at penisdepot, but it comes with a ridiculous price.

I think I read in some pumper’s post that some people are over an inch longer in the tube. IMO get the 9 inch just in case you’re one of them, and in case you gain an inch of permanent length over the next year, the 9 incher will still work for sure, but the 8 incher might be borderline. Having more air in the tube gives you slightly finer control over the pressure you want too. The 8 incher would be easier to store if stealth is an issue though.

I would go fuck-rampant on my wife if I filled a tube like that so easily. But I like your point. I should go with the 9”

I just bought a 2”x12” from leluv on eBay for 87$ also. It seems just right. Reading the pumping 101 thread, I got a tube 3-4 inches longer than my erect state. If you read their feedback, just about all the negative stuff was from low feedback scored buyers, and leluv seemed to reply to just about all the negative feedback and offer to help or replace the product. Good customer service goes a long way. La pump seems to price their stuff a bit high but some people swear by them.

09-01-07= 6" Bpel & 4.5"

01-10-20 = 8&1/4" x 6"

The brake bleeder pump referred to above (enter brake bleeder in the search box on web site) is the same one offered by Thickwall and LApump Distributes only you can it for $23 on line or $17 at one of their retail outlets with a coupon from an auto magazine. Why pay $59 when you can get it for $17.

I’ve been researching pumps as well.

I was close to piecing one together with a mighty vac and an aquarium gravel vacuum tube, but the more I researched, the more I came to the conclusion that I should go with something that is tried and true based on so much feedback here.

Today, I ordered what I think will be the right tool for my tool - a 1.75 x 9 deluxe package from L.A. Pump. Paid a little more than I really wanted to, but I don’t think I’ll look back with any regrets.

Did you get any girth gains with it? In theory I want to limit the length gain to pack the tube for girth.
