Pumping HELPS after Prostate Cancer

I have found that PE,…Pumping with the use of a Cock ring and “Jelqing” have helped me reach a useable Erection. I have been able to have sex, after Prostate Cancer, because of PE!

I had Prostate Cancer surgery in April of 2003, a (Radical Prostatectomy) with “NERVE SPAREING”,… then 7 weeks of external beam radiation to the lower abdomen because the cancer had spread, and to top it off,… 2 years of (Hormone Shots) with “LUPRON” …Ouch!!!

All of these procedures limit or stop the male anatomy from performing it’s erectile function. Thank God and you guys for openness and PE.

The only thing the Doctors have suggested is a “vacuum pump with cock ring” and or erection shots: Caverject 20 micrograms, (only 5 micrograms to start.)

1. The vacuum pump and cock ring works well most of the time.
2. I tried the shot once (5mg) and had an erection for 3 hours. I did not like that as it started to hurt after about an hour. A one hour erection would be enough for me.

Any one have a similar situation or need help “GETTING IT UP” please share tricks of the trade in what works for you and what does not.

That’s great news, Falcon. My guess is that you started out with your recovery very soon after healing from those proceedures. This is the best method of attack and doctors are catching on. Used to be that PCa survivors were advised to “wait and see if things come back.” Can be a long wait for men with RPs, even nerve-sparing.

Stay with the pumping on a regular basis. Men with ED for whatever cause get the most benefit from short pump sets, but several of them, back-to-back. This mimics on a small scale what a regular nocturnal erection pattern does on a larger scale. You still allow for newly-oxygenated blood to move in, on a repetitive basis. It is the newly-oxygenated blood which promotes healing. No matter how careful your nerve-sparing proceedure may have been, there was still some damage. That can regenerate. Not to mention the radiation and hormone treatments. You had the whole enchillada.

I’m glad I saw your post Falcon. I am about to have my prostate removed this fall. I was wondering if PE would be beneficial.
